    Well that did not connect to the media port in the back of the screen like I thought it would. I just ended up putting it into the empty space i had in the center lower panel. At least now i have 2 type c fast charging outlets

    Thought it would be obvious..... because the factory one us USB 2.0 at best. If Adding for an aftermarket head unit to run carplay or android auto, you need USB 3.0 or 3.1. You can't just magically plug in an adapter and make that port suddenly 3.0+ speeds. You need a new port.
