Anyone from IL

I have plugged up upper cats on my 09 Tacoma V6. I found long tube headers from

So I was wondering if I could get away with deleting the upper cats and run the long tube headers in their place and just keep the secondary cats with all the 4 o2 sensors still attached in order to pass inspection?

Also, I'm no lawyer but EPA and the Feds frowns upon removing cats. Not often enforced but if you get unlucky it can be big $$$$. (And now I wait for people to yell at me for saying true things and get called a tree hugger in 3, 2, 1...)

 

If you delete the cats you will need URD O2 simulators or you will set a code for cat efficiency.

Isn't that what the add-on option for all the headers is? Maybe he doesnt sell them individually any more, but pretty sure thats what the RB product is. Now you just have to buy the headers to get them.

 

I think the rb option is weather or not your truck has sais or not, but I've never got a good answer. simulators used to be a separate option. those rolling coal guys ruined it for everyone now its illegal to manufacture that emissions stuff

 

Nah, I'm almost positive it's the sim. 2012+ trucks get their own header and even a separate rb code.

What is an RB CODES and a SIAS. I know what an SAS is, an EGR, and blah, blah, blah, but those others, NOT SO MUCH, LOL!!!
