When you go from the stock 245s to the 265s you will lose about 2 mpgs.

Im trying to figure out what would be considerd hwy driving for mpg purposes. My main drive is between my gf and my house. Its considerd highway however there are 12 stop lights plus some signs over a 12.5 mile stretch. Would you consider that more city driving? I average 20mpg in my 4x2 4cylinder with 255 45 20 wheels. I know the wheels are a factor but with the 12 lights thats not terrible right?

That's an average of one stoplight per mile. That's not city, but definitely not highway. Highway for me is most legs are 5+ miles without a stop. Freeway is kick the tires, light the fires and burn all the gas as quickly as possible on the interstate. 20 isn't terrible but I get 19 in my v6-6spd driving 3 miles to work with 5 stops. It's all in how you drive. There are people who like to drive conservatively (I hate adrenaline on the street lol) and people who like to have fun. I won't knock either.

Two days until my next try at an MPG record. Back roads (which is what people called the highway 40 years ago) with me, my right foot, some cool tunes, 38 pounds in the tires, and no need to rush. Knowing what this truck does once it warms up the fluids I'm aiming for 24 on the 6spd. I know it can be done, but not so sure now that we're on winter blend gas.

Half tank at 215 miles today. Not too bad for purely 5 to 10 minute trips.

I would consider that a mixed drive, I average around 20mpg V6 4x4, stock tires, on my daily comute during the week, 2 miles city, 13 miles freeway. This includes 4-5 errand trips city driving during the week. About 15/85 city/highway.

I did a mileage run this summer, 220 miles all freeway at 61mph and got 26mpg. The next time I do that drive I'm going to drive 70-75 to see what the difference is.

6" lift and 33's and i get about 16 mpg in town Scurrying to work and school but i imagine with no lift small tires and qhatnot that 20mpg should be easy!

I think when people say there average mpg along with your tire size, trans type, ect they should include your daily driving commute so we can compare

It's hard to get the mileage over 22 on the 6mt if driving 55mph. That seems to be where it levels off without AC. Final for the day was 22.2 and I had to work my tail off for it.

    I hate typing on touchscreens!

Figured I should add in my shift speeds now that I finally paid attention to what I was doing. I shifted at 10, 19, 28, 35, and 42 mph. Any higher seems to cut the avg too much during acceleration.

Workman gets 21-23 on average...ONLY if he uses non ethanol gas. Otherwise he's back down to about 19-20hwy driving.

Consistent 20 MPG. I put between 150 and 200 miles a week on my 2011 Tacoma PreRunner. I good mix of city streets, freeway, and stop n' go traffic.

V6 automatic 20 mile commute with 16 of it highway. I average 21 if I keep my speed at or below 65 and no hard accelerating at all. If I drive it like I want to I will get 18 or less.

So anyone running aftermarket wheels with stock size tires notice a difference in mpg's? I just added my wheels last week, so far seems pretty close to the same mpg. Got 18.5 last fill up which has been fairly normal for the winter fuel. In the summer I was averaging 19+ and broke 20 3-4 times. We'll see how it does.

Note that my wheels were 2lbs heavier than the stock sport wheels and the tires were 1lb heavier than the stock dunlops. I went from 17's down to 16's.

My average has been slowly falling since late Fall but I'm still above 20MPG. My last tank was 21.5ish, the one before that was 16.5. One was work and back on the freeway 80 miles everyday, the other was almost full time 4WD in snow and Ice.

In the winter Im a consistant 16.5mpg thats with a 40 mile commute mostly highway depending on how I hit the lights with 265/75/16 and a 5100 lift. Summer w/o running the A/C im getting like 18 to 19 and I dont think Im an aggressive accelerator compard to some.
