I think the manual in the FJ is stout, the manual in the Taco is... Iffy. I've seen threads about failures here, but either way, it's pretty obvious that a LS3 with turbos strapped to it isn't going to treat the stock manual nice, and it wouldn't be surprising if it lunched it first day.

I am not aware of an adapter for the LS to the Taco manual transmission. For the auto, there is.

I was pushing 549 wtq out of mine, before I swapped in the T56.

To the OP, once your tuning is finished enjoy. The exhaust components, especially the URD equal length headers will really help the exhaust flow.

If I read it right, OP has an Auto transmission. I am pretty sure I remember a member here having issues once he hit 450 wheel torque.

I curious what the A750 is actually rated for. I know it was used in the Tundra at some point?

I found some stock dyno #'s for the 2nd gen, but i know the 2009 tundra (it came with the 2005-2009 4x4) which had 401 lb ft of torque at the crank, and to figure powertrain loss a
stock Taco 4.0 is rated at

    236hp @ 5200 (Crank), 266 lb-ft @ 4000 (Crank)

    198 WHP, 221.6 lb-ft (Dyno)

= 20% loss for HP, 17% loss for torque

If my trucks making 387 lb-ft its making 464 at the crank, which is well above the stock tundra they put it on, I was contemplating a new exhaust and headers, but I'm afraid to push it much farther.

If anyone can find some solid numbers on the a750f I'd appreciate it

Ignore all this shit - i realized today they ran it in 3rd instead of 4th, thats why my TQ was so high and my HP was so low

I wouldn’t want to make more than 400wtq on the stock transmission.

    6000$? For 50 hp?

Not being scarcastic or patronizing, just sucks thats how much it takes for a 1gr to make 300hp.

The dyno stopped collecting after 3k revs, due to them running it in 3rd instead of 4th

Anyone have any suggestions for re-gearing ratios with 32" tires?

IPT makes upgrades for the auto. It can then handle I think around 650 tq.

That seems pretty low doesn't it? Any reason you say 4.88?

    I have 4.88s and i love it.

Honestly 4.88s on 32s with a blower would be very fun but overgeard. Would probably stay 4.56 or lower.

I do a bit of highway driving, some offroading, would 4:10s be too high? or should I go lower to 4.56?

I have 32's (light weight All-Terrains in Load Range C and wheels) and a Magnuson supercharger with stock gearing on an automatic. I have no plans on changing gear ratios.

Some people will say they dont plan on changing gear ratios, some will say 5.29s.

If your truck is a DD then dont change anything.
If its a toy, change the gears and make it faster off the line.

Is gearing easier for Autos, then?

I think I would start from scratch if I changed the gearbox out. But, I'm sticking with manual, so whatever.

I don't know how or why i have this information but i have a quote in a txt files saying

"The SAE has a technical paper available, released at the introduction of the A750 tranny, which is viewable in its entirety for $27.00, but the free preview of the first few pages specifies that its torque capacity is 500 N-M - that's 368 lb-ft to you and me"

If it's true, i don't know but knowing that the Tundra with the a750f is around 325 lb-ft of torque the 368 maximum from the quote is a possibility.

Thats strange because the 09 tundra that they put the a750f in had a torque rating of 401 lb-ft, or did they use a different tranny for that one?
Edit : I lied that is the 5.7, they used the A750F on the 4.7L
