Had my windshield replaced a few week ago. Had a lot of heavy rain this week and noticed water coming in from the grab handle. Not sure if it’s from the windshield or somehwere else. Going to have SafeLite come back out and take a look. Anyone else had a leak from this area?

You sure it wasnt just water that came in from opening and closing the door during the rain...or if you had the windshield replaced make sure the company did it right.

Yeah I thought that, but driving down the road I can see it come in through the bolt cover for the grab handle.

Could definitely have been from an improper windshield install. Pop off the handle and a-pillar cover to verify where it is coming from.

I didn’t want to do much with the cover since the airbag is in there. I’m going to have SafeLite back out to fix it.

Which is actually super easy I might add. Just two 10mm bolts and off she comes.

Its honestly very easy. The airbag is retained well, but I'd double check to make sure the water didn't damage the bag.

OP. If that is passenger side and you didn't open or close that side while in rain, it's more thn likely bad windshield repair. I'd have them come fix it ASAP.

Taking it Thursday to have Safelite look at it. I’ll keep you posted.

I had the same happen to me after getting windshield replaced. It actually slid down a notch after the install during the curing process creating a leak at the top windshield gasket. At first I noticed drips on my floor mat so I thought cowl vent but nope, got the windshield replaced again (for free) and no more leaks
