I’m running Bilstein 6112’s at 5/4, and love them. However, I’m itching for just a bit more lift. I was planning on going up a notch this weekend and throwing an AAL in the back. However, the thought occurred to me that I could just go 6/6 and add a 1/4” spacer. I tried searching but couldn’t find any first hand experience. Surely some of you 3rd Gen folks have tried it.
I’d appreciate any opinions on ride, or drawbacks.

I know one guy who went to 6/6 after 5/4 and went back.

The problem is travel and how it rides. You lose down travel every step up, and unless the rear is sitting high it will drive worse. I always discourage top clips.

If its for looks, go for it. But if you trail ride or haul a lot you'll notice poor ride. 6112s are amazing, but they definitely aren't a giant lift.

I'm running 6100s set at 6\5 with a 1\4" spacers , I get a better ride with the spacers than going to 7/6
The truck still rides better then my wife's Camry.

Thanks for both replies. I think I'll go to 5/6, and save the spacer if I still want a little more. It's inevitable that I'll just keep messing with my setup forever. :)
