I have searched high and low for an actual photo, with no results.. which is why I am asking the question..

Anyone have a picture of an OME 886x mounted onto a Bilstein 5100?

Got my springs in from tdotperformance, and I’m thinking they’re not the right ones. Am I missing a part of the install process?

Any help and feedback would be appreciated.

    I see what you mean,
your coils are very spaced out.

Here is my stuff before installing on the shocks

I appreciate the photo, I needed to make sure this was not the correct spring that was sent to me. Now to fight with tdotperfomance, to get my money back..

you shouldn't have any issues with tdot. they are good about setting things right. it is very obvious that the coil you have is not an 886.

These almost look like rear springs. Are they possible mislabeled?

I’m guessing they’re mislabelled, or else I was sent the wrong 886s.

Are there different versions of an 886x spring, for different applications?

According to the email I've just received from TDot, OME has confirmed that the part numbers on the springs that were sent to me ARE for my truck.. ffs.

I don't know how that, when they see what I have compared to what it should look like, they can't see my issue.

Would they even fit in the top strut plate?
Perhaps you could get a hold of Marie at Headstrong to ask for her second opinion. After proving it's the incorrect one, return those springs, get your money back, and buy from Headstrong. Just a thought.

no, there is no way that this thing would fit. I'm working on getting this returned now, but I'm sure they're going to charge me a shipping and restock fee

    It's just frustrating, is all

out and get you a discount and free shipping to the lower 48.
Those guys sent you out rears coils and are making you
pay a restock fee and shipping back???
I'd be taking my money elsewhere besides back to those
    guys.

Those are definitely rear coils they sent you. The front coils will have much tighter windings
as well as be much tighter against the strut body. If you look at D2. pictures he posted you can get an idea of how close the coil will be to the strut. Here is another picture to show the size difference from the front to rear coils.

Yeah, I understand that frustration for sure. If you're willing to contest those costs, I think it would be worth it. You shouldn't have to pay anything for their mistake. As long as everything was clear that you ordered the front coils.

I'd appreciate that. They gave me the Tech Support number for ARB, so I'll also be trying to give them a call on Monday

I totally agree, and everything on my side says it was for the front. Problem in communicating with them right now is that I'm only getting one email from them per day.. they aren't taking phone calls right now for some reason
