No problem at all. I'm a big guy...6'4 240 lbs...and it holds me and the wife just fine.
Walking around and getting in/out of the bunk you'll feel the popup rock a little but that's normal. I'm going to install 2 extra stabilizers in the middle to help out with it. It's overkill but just something to tinker with.

How'd you mount the toolbox in the cargo area?

The bike carrier....where the hell did you find that? I can't seem to locate the clips to mount one to the roof. I want to use it to haul my kayaks.

First I found a 72in long hitch at e-trailer and installed in the main beams, the cargo basket has a 2in connection, plus a transfer from the front of the RV all proper cables to the back and gave power to the cargo lights.

Our E3 came with the cargo rails pre-installed, then I just added a Thule posts with a 84in or 96in (i do not really remember) lenght cargo bars, over them I found a great in Houston (craiglist) 4 big mouth Yakima Bike carriers that worked perfect with some Yakima-Thule adaptors (round (yakima) - square (Thule)).

This is a current photo of our first trip with it (Corpus Christi, TX).

Can you send me a picture of the clips used to mount it to the roof. I too have the rails on my roof but can't find clips to fit it.

Not sure what you're talking about in the first paragraph. I was asking about the diamond plated tool box you mounted on the front cargo area of the E3. :)

    I don't remember the brand. I think it's a Reese. I ordered it from etrailer.com.
Best $$ spent so far. No more sag in the rear and made towing a lot easier.

    Sorry my bad...

I was talking about the cargo basket - hitch at the back...

Well I got an aluminum box for a truck fix it to the center of the RV cargo area with four long screws and in between the cargo box the upper part of the cargo base and the bottom part of it I added metallic and rubber washers to avoid water penetration over that I put some silicone around these areas.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

this is the Thule system I got for the E3.

    Thule Tracker II system
    • Complete line of carriers includes everything necessary to create multipurpose rack system.
    • Complete line of carriers includes everything necessary to create multipurpose rack system.
    • TRACKER load carriers include Tracker II feet (4), TK1 base (4), load bars (2), and locks (4).
    • Carriers fit over 40% of all new vehicles -maximum potential with minimum sku assortment.
    • Creates a versatile multipurpose load carrier for mounting all Thule accessories.
    • Pre-assembled for easy installation.
    • 50" Load Bars
    • Lifetime Warranty.
Do not purchase this package, it will be preferable to go and shop around for the best price on all less the load bars, some vendors have the 96in bars , they will be better for your application to have the longest (Kayaks).

I found this link (great price) for this lenght load bars.

    Thanks MVega.
I think I can pick up the crossbars at R.E.I. in Austin about the same price. My issue is finding the clips that will mount to the rails onthe roof of the E3. That seems to be the challenge.

It was for me, BUT it is now the most simple thing to do, on my Tacoma's camper I'd installed at basket at the top and rails on this camper are the same as on the E3 top, use the TK1 and then the feet from the tracker II system and if you want to lock them get the 4 locks for each foot.

You have the advantage of REI at Austin, ask them to be in safe side of purchasing.

I took some pictures this morning, I will show them during this morning.

    AWESOME!!!!
A buddy of mine owns Lakeline Watersports in Austin. I'm going to show these pictures to him to see if he can get the clips and towers for me.
Thanks a million!!!! I owe ya one.

Speaking of kayaks....if anyone in the Austin area needs a good kayak dealer be sure to check out this guy. Roland, owner of Lakeline Watersports, runs a fantastic operation. He'll break his back making sure a customer is happy and really goes above and beyond what is expected. I bought my yak from him and referred by brother in law to him. He's bought 2 from Roland since.

Hey, do you know a good place to fish around Austin, to fish not in a boat from the shore.

I have not visited yet a place that fill my camping trips with a good fishing area.

    That's a tough one.
There are some places around Bastrop State Park you could do both.
Inks Lake but I'm not 100% familiar with it. I only know of 1 rv park and I'll be going there the first time tomorrow. I'll send you a report when I get back.
Granger Lake is a nice place to camp. The water is pretty low right now though but I've caught catfish from the bank.

I am also interested in the price on one of these. I am split between a decent pop-up or a hardwall RV.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
I grew up with popups and campers. We started out with popups then Dad got tired of setting the things up. Then he got a 20 foot travel trailer, then a 30 footer. He sold that a few years ago and got a 16 foot Scamp 5th wheel.

The cool thing about Scamps is that they're made out of aluminum and fiberglass. There's not much to corrode and they are super lightweight. The guy my Dad bought his from delivered it with a 4 cylinder Ford Ranger!
