I'd love to go back but I have to find the time. We have one trip splanned each month of the year. All of our long weekends are already spoken for and I hate setting up for just one night.

The park is a must though. You won't be disappointed.

Good I will be calling Monday first hour after we agree in a date during this weekend, I saw someone fishing on your photographs, that picture was at the Guadalupe River? Is it any good? any kind of lure to use (you know the "secret lure") for these waters?

Hey thanks for all your info.

The river is really shallow behind the park. The best thing to do is wade/walk across to a few of the "creeks" and try your luck there. I always like a topwater but the trusty old senko works well also.

    Good luck and have fun.

$13,500.00 fully loaded (South-Central Texas), play (quotes) around with several sellers and always show your lowest price to all of them and ask for an even lower price, always ask for it in writing.

Hey Austin_taco, I'm planning to purchase a WDH, but I can not see where or how is going to be installed on the Folding trailer tongue (length availability -distance-), Is there a chance you might have a photo where I can see how your Reese WDH is installed?

    Thanks,
    Regards.

The wife bought a '92 Jayco last year 1800lbs fully loaded she pulled that behind my 4 banger Ranger. When I told her that the Taco could tow more she started looking for a newer, bigger pop-up. Trying to talk rational to her about it is almost futile. Just one more year with the Jayco she bought it for 800 and we put in another 500 to get it road worthy again, I hate to sell it for 600 after only 1 years use. Women:confused:

    No problem!
I'll take a pic of it tonight and send it to ya. It's actually extremely easy and well worth the $$.

Damn bro! I just got home from my sons Boy Scout meeting so I didn't get a chance to take the pics. I promise I'll get them after work tomorrow. I don't have anything planned after work and I've already left myself a note on the kitchen counter to get this done for ya.

    Sorry...

I was thinking about the WDH on the way into work this morning.
You will receive 2 L shaped bars. The length of those bars will show you exactly where on the tongue the mounting brackets should go.

No worries though...I'm still going to send you a couple of pictures this evening but wanted to tell you that before I forgot.

    MVega...
    Here ya go.

1st pic is standing next to the tongue...passenger side looking back.
2nd pic...taken at passenger side looking directly at tongue.
    3rd pic...taken overhead shot

You can see the brackets are between the LP tanks and the bar that the battery sits on.

The hitch I took a pic of both sides. The first pic is taken of what would be looking from the drivers side. Pay attention to the "washer" and how it sits.
The 2nd hitch pic is taken as looking from the passenger side. Also pay attention to the washer. The left side of the washer has a #4. These #'s set determine the angle of the ball. Once you see it in person you'll know what I mean.

The bracket that mounts to the tongue is funny. You'll think you need 2 bolts to mount it. There's one bolt on the back side located towards the top of the bracket. The weight from trailer will put pressure on the bottom of the bracket to hold it in place.

You should have 2 chains with the WDH. I normally will hook the bracket using the 1st or 2nd loop. The other end of the chain will be connected to the "L" bars that mount to the hitch on the truck side.

    Any of this make sense?
Feel free to call me if you need help. Once you see it and do it once it's a hell of a lot easier than you'd think. I'll PM my number to ya.

I have the smaller cousin of Austin Taco's E-3, the E-1. It's a 10' box, the front sleeping area is slightly smaller, and the whole rig weighs in around 3300 pounds dry. Mine's an '05, the first year for them. I bought it very lightly used.

Just the right size for two adults and the dog. Only thing the GF doesn't like is no porta-potti inside. We like that the dinette is off to the side, and not in the way of getting into either bed. We take the king size, dog takes the other!

Tows like a dream with my '09 TRD DC Off-Road. I don't use a WD hitch and have had no problems with sway or porpoising at all. Tongue weight is 350#, a little more when I load the ice chests on the front platform.

    Nice rig Santa!

I didn't want the E3, believe it or not. I thought it would be too big for us. Now that I have it I'm glad I do.

I like the smaller E-class though. Nice rig bro!

TBM....that's a big camper for such a small truck. How does the Tacoma do when towing?
    What does that thing weigh?

loaded it weighs 5700lbs. The tacoma pulls it fine. I have driven it over 1500 miles so far and dont regret the size. My previous setup was a 37 ft 5th wheel and a dually so Im familiar with large setups.

Spec sheet says 31ft. Looks more like 50ft compared to the truck. lol
