I have a '15 DC TRD off road and recently i have noticed whenever i hit bumps or potholes in the road hard enough i hear a slight rattle on the passenger side. It doesn't happen every single time. its really weird. My brother in law recently got into my truck and when he shut the door he shut it kinda hard (the window was rolled down when he shut it) Could this be the culprit? Any suggestions would be appreciated

I don't know if this will help you but my Access Cab Doors had horrible rattles on my 2015, the upper strikers and latches were bouncing off each other over bumps and the tires were overinflated which made things worse.

    It's in the window switches.

I pulled mine out and wrapped electrical tape around the part that protrudes into the opening, and it shut it right up.

Do both sides. It'll only take 15 minutes.

There's a thread on it somewhere.

Having rattle on drivers side. Bought silicone to try KBS fix, but I'm wondering if I should have dealership look at it so I don't mess up any warranty or something if that doesn't fix it. Just bought it week ago.

Just do it. You won't mess anything up in regards to warranty (nothing important anyway), and the dealer's gang of window lickers won't have a clue what to do.

so you dont think its anything inside the actual door? last time i took it in to have the left driver side panel replaced under warranty, it took them 3 tries to re-install the damn door panel correctly.

I know it sounds stupid, but make sure it's not your seat belt bumping the plastic. Alot of times when my wife or daughter get out on the passenger side (front or back) they leave the seat belt twisted so it rubs the plastic. Drives me crazy.

It's most likely the window switch.

it almost sounds like a glass rattle, but when i sit in the passenger side and shut the door, i hear nothing, only when driving sometimes and hitting a rough spot in the road it will make a rattle

i had a rattle/squeak when my window was down. had the panel taken off. most of the bolts holding the motor had fallen off. my mechanic found the parts at the bottom of the door sill, had to reinstall and tighten all the bolts. it was just about ready to drop the glass into the door.

I think my driver side window is about to fall off too! I better open it up and tighten everything up before it does.

My 2015 started doing the same thing at around 800 miles. Have you had any luck getting it fixed?
