    Trying to decide between this,

    Red Rock stubby.jpg

    Or, the Body Armor Highline.

(Stole both pics from Extreme Terrain's site)

The BA Highline is a winch mount, which I don't need but looks more heavily constructed. Just don't know if I need to spend the extra $225 for my needs.

Anyone have the RedRock stubby on their 3rd Gen and what are your thought?

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
The Victory 4x4 Blitz doesn't require cutting the hell out of your bumper cover.

Why put one on if your not going to mount a winch? Not like the sump bumpers offer and real protection

I want some low speed bump protection and may eventually put in an LED light bar.

I don't want a full blown, Mad Max bumper, grill guard that adds excessive weight and ruins the lines of the truck. After looking at the thread on accident damage to bumpers, those really don't offer any meaningful protection either or, just transfer it to the frame and total your ride anyway.

The Greenlane Off-road stump bumper is nice and is aluminum. Winch mount style with or without hoop.

You touched on why it's over rated for protection right there. Rather than having a crumple zone any impact you have will now end up transfered right into the frame, potentially damaging the frame on what would otherwise be a bumper cover and crash bar.
If I wasn't after the security of having a winch I would of left it stock
