    Iv been thinking of getting a second vehicle lately for around town and found a 1990 skyline gts 180 km good shape etc.

    Its got some mods but nothing that would hurt the car.

    Anyone have any experience with them/tips when looking at it?

    Yea I've got a buddy that owns one, the whole damn car runs off vacuum solenoids. Check the vacuum tubing for wear and tear and cracks, vacuum leaks were the bane of our existence one summer until we replaced every stock vacuum line with performance tubing. With the turbo's it can get pretty hot under those hoods cause theres not a lot of room.

    from the research i did when i wanted to import one from Japan with my dad as a project car, only the R33 is makable to be "street legal". Also the r33 is the least sought after. This research was done when I was 17 in high school, so the import law/regulations might have changed since then.

    I would really look into Canada as well cause they have a lot of imported Skylines that are modded.

    thanks for the tips guys,

    I went and looked at it and it turns out the car only has 99000 kms!

    I offered him 4500 and he took it so looks like a skyline is being added to the family, weoo.

    As soon as the car is in my hands it will be getting new rims/tires, good coat of wax, detailed ... and taking all the stickers off :facepalm:
