Anyone have a stock 04 tacoma regular cab?

I bought an 04 reg cab 4x4 and it has a spacer in the front. It's a really bouncy ride and I'm starting to think it has leafs to. I find it hard to believe this truck rides this rough. I cant take the spacer out bc the stock top plate is gone and the studs that are pressed into the new plate will be way to long and hit. I need some advice and pics to compare to me ride bight. I love this truck but I need it to ride smooth. I know regular cabs ride a little rough naturally but not this rough.
