Anyone have a sub-$500 eBay Hard Tonneau?

I know, this has been beaten to death more than once, and I did search, but threads always seem to end up with the usual suspects, Bakflip, Gator, Leer, Rough Country, Lomax, etc.

I had a RuggedLiner Rugged Cover II on my last Tacoma, and really liked it because it was about as water resistant as you could get, but it was close to $1K at the dealer when I bought the truck. That didn't sting so bad because it was all financed.

I don't want to spend $800+ on a cover for my new Tacoma, and looking on eBay, the hard, tri-fold covers in the $400 - $500 range look eerily similar to my Rugged Cover II, LED lighting system, mounting system, and all. Some also look suspiciously similar to the Leer, Gator, Rough Country, etc. I suspect a high portion of the hard covers are rebranded, Chinese manufactured products.

Has anyone bought one of the eBay hard covers? Specifically, the one's under $500 that use the rail system for mounting?

 

I have one. One if its hinges started coming apart after about three months. It still works but I wouldn’t buy again.

 

I bought a Tonno Pro hard tri-fold for my Tundra 6' bed 3 years ago for $499 on Amazon - and it's been working for me perfectly with no problems. I think I bought it off amazon or Real Truck.

 

Amazon has Tyger brand tonneaus in both soft and hard flavors. My rollup was sub 200 when I got it and shipped free to Alaska somehow.
Search the forums for the brand, plenty of people here have them. No complaints with mine.
The 3rd gen beds aren’t even close to water proof do that may be worth looking into as well
