Anyone have access to CARFAX? (willing to pay small fee)

we are selling my wife's Honda Accord and I would really like to have a CARFAX printout but honestly dont have the $35 they are asking. I was hoping maybe someone on here had access to it that could run me a report on my wife's car so we can include it with it when we sell it. I am willing to pay up to $10 if this helps via paypal. I appreciate much!

hmm....never heard of it. i wonder if potential buyers will go for it. you see those carfax commercials all the time and i think people ask for those more often, thanks for the tip though

 

Find the website of a dealer that offers free Carfax online for their used inventory.

Follow the link to one of their reports. Usually the VIN # is part of the website URL after following that link. Simply replace the VIN in the link with your VIN, refresh the page, and viola! free Carfax.

I used to do this with Subaru of San Bernardino's website, until they configured their site to cross-check the VIN with their inventory before sending the request to Carfax. I'm guessing they get charged per-VIN and someone realized what was happening.

Carfax has gotten a lot more expensive lately and doesn't seem as reliable as it used to be.
