OEM hardware. Ordered some rekgen then saw the 2 inch screws they wanted me to use. Strange......

I use cheap plasticolor ones from Amazon, and I reused oem bolts. Although I had to drill holes in them to get them installed.

The OEM mud flaps are contoured to fit the wheel well. The Rekgen and Rockblox are just flat plastic, so they need the 2 inch screws and spacers to bridge the contoured gap of the wheel well.

Its unbelievable with laser measuring no one can make a molded, thin, flexible mud flap, it's like the 80's.

Seriously? You literally can’t tell when they are installed. The whole install took a total of 15 minutes.

You might as well just go with OEM.

Can't imagine there is any place on the truck with 3 inch screws poking out and not flush. Seriously, why 3 inches?

The screws are longer and the rubber spacer (hose) because the inside of the fender wells are deeper than the outside. You can’t tell when installed. All you see is the screw heads and washers.

Crazy, I don't get it. Have the OEM's, but scraped one on a decent. Looking for something with a bit of flex and for larger wheels.

My problem isn't only with long screws, but also the gaps. We get alot of snow and below zero weather. On my oem flaps the snow and ice melts when warm or treated with salt, then freezes till it builds up in the wheel well. The oem flaps are stiff and the build up doesn't want to come off. Same with any gaps. Flexible and flush mud flaps can get a kick and get rid of the debris, also wash up nice and get rid of salt and snow. It's not just a look thing for me.

Is there a gap in the back fastener?

It's not flush with the inner wheel well, but I've been through ice, snow, and mud, and have not seen any problem.
