The G19 never was a consideration for me due to cramped grip real eastate......until the Gen4 model arrived.

First time I handled one in a store and the large beavertail blackstrap was in place.....I was sold !!!!

It’s been one of my most carried guns in the couple years I’ve owned it.

I shoot it very well and it conceals nicely.

Recently saw the G19X on their website and am really intrigued.

    I’m considering adding one.

Wondering if anyone else here has tried one and would love to hear their shooting/ carrying impressions.

Seems like it is just a 17 with the shorter/slimmer 19 slide. Might be hard to conceal .

I have one, bought it in late Jan or early Feb

Its easily my favorite Glock now

All of the Gen5 upgrades plus the weird full grip, compact slide combo makes for the best balanced pistol I own...i don't carry it yet because the dimensions are just a smidge off of my G23 so i need to get a new holster for it

I have put maybe 500 to 600 rounds through it so far and as typical of a Glock, no issues and i don't suspect there will be

It is a fantastic pistol that I love and has earned a permanent place in my collection

I never understood why some put such an emphasis on "cramped grip real estate" for a carry weapon. For me, I prefer my conceal weapon to be more concealable and light at the cost of ergos. It's got but one job and the smaller and lighter it is the more likely I will be to have it on me should I ever need it. This idea that your carry weapon needs to be comfy just doesn't make sense to me. If it's a gun you plan to run tens of thousands of round through at competitions and such then that's another conversation entirely. These are two different tasks and that's why there are different tools for the job. Sure you can use a screwdriver handle to drive a nail because it's more "comfortable in the hand" but wouldn't you rather just a hammer? A gun that will need to be minute-of-man accurate at 7yds in the ultra-rare chance that you ever even need to draw it has a far less responsibility of being "comfortable" and in just about every case this comfort comes at the cost of size/weight & concealability. In my time I've conceal carried all sorts of weapons in all sorts of situations including full size G17's and 1911's. These aren't ideal for CCing however and 9/10 times today I will go with my Glock 43 because it's small, lightweight, thin and fades away under just about any shirt I wear. It will perform 80% as well as one of my other larger Glocks but for this purpose it's the best tool. Conceal a G19x? No thanks. Seems like a "solution" to a problem nobody has.

Just my 7 cents adjusted for inflation.

You're not wrong, but I don't have any issue most of the time concealing a 23 AIWB and I don't think the 19x will be much different for me

I will say, I was kind of in a weird place about the 19x because, like you, I didn't think much of the 17 grip 19 slide situation compared to what most people seemed to want with a 19 grip and 17 slide...but then I handled one, shot one, and fell in love...it's literally the best stock Glock I've ever fired...I can point shoot a Glock already quite well, but this one takes it to a new level...it's so beautifully balanced, comfortable, and just fantastic

I could give a rip less about the lanyard loop and color...but the other new features just make it seem like I shoot it better without much effort on my part

It's sold me enough on the Gen5 upgrades too that I'll likely add a couple more eventually...and I can only hope they do a Gen5 31

I put some rounds down range with a buddies 19x. The 19x wasn't a bad shooter was pretty accurate (but most guns are), the trigger was just ok for the price I'd think trigger would be better. I surely won't be ditching my FN 509 for a 19x.
Both guns in my opinion are too large to conceal comfortably I'd prefer something a bit smaller to carry.

I want one for sure. I like the idea of the full sized grip. I hope they make them in all black soon.

I have a 19X.It is now my favorite Glock...and I have many.Including custom Dale Hunnicut competition Glocks. The felt recoil of the 19 size slide is what I like , along with the 17 size grip.I have large hands.I will say that the new Gen 5 19X is as accurate as my USPSA custom 2011's.All I did was replace the factory sights with Dawson Precision Fiber front/black rear sights.
