I know there's already a thread regarding the bugflector 2 with mixed reviews but has anyone recently installed one on a 2017? Are people still having issues? I am torn on installing mine.

I had the bugflector and didn't like the look and it didn't deflect anything imo... I replaced w/ the weathertech and, especially in summer I could tell a night/day difference in the quantity of bug guts on my windshield. Doesn't keep all of them off, but it kept them almost entirely out of my main field of vision.

I actually HATE the mustache look it gives the hood... but, it does help deflect and my hood is pristine so that counts for something.

Well only reason I asked was bc I bought the AVS one but I heard there were nightmares when installing because they either don't fit right or scratch part of the car. Was wondering if anyone had this issue with the 2017. Did you have any issues installing your weathertech one and which one did you get? Also, did it rub or ruin any part of the paint of your truck as well?

I put an AVS on my 2017 SR a couple of weeks ago. No problem. It went on very easily and fits well in my opinion.Screen Shot 2017-12-21 at 5.23.43 PM.jpg

The description on Amazon calls it the "sleek, low profile version of the Bugdeflector II." I haven't noticed any paint rubbing. It fits rather close to the hood but doesn't touch it.

Must have redesigned it or adjusted good for 17 versus 16. I babies install too and out stops where the edges could slam against paint to protect it in case it does which it prolly won’t.
