We just rearranged the site to select no filter . Deduct $3. But you want to flush the engine if your using or have been using other stuff . Just a recommendation

Yes I've replaced it few times when I used to use it . I'm always working so don't get to play much. Plus I haven't really driven this truck in about a year. Been bored with it. Most i do is a big burn out in front of the shop . Its just a show peice these days. I daily a unreliable gas sucking impractical truck and our new Tundra .

Post a VOA please, as a tribologist you can understand that the additive package can speak for itself.

Do you mind if I ask what issues you have seen that are related to supertech users?

I think I took a wrong turn in this thread somewhere. How does Supertech, an engine oil, impact a regear that uses a completely different fluid for the differentials?

    Yeah.
You can get Supertech gear oil as well, maybe that's what he means. I use both the engine and the gear oil. It's fine.

I use superrich synthetic./ Kirkland synthetic in all of my cars. Especially my newer ones. Zero issues.

Could you elaborate the certifications/process, and why it is a joke?

I'm seeing about $65 for 6 quarts of LM Supertec AA 0W20. So, is this shit made from boas or pythons; cause that's one hell of a squeeze on the wallet.

I used mobil 1 for 19 years in my 2001 tundra piling up over 290k miles with the truck still running like the day i brought it home. The toyota dealer here did the toyotacare oil changes using mobil 1 so i'll continue to use it. You don't argue with success.
As far as that video, everybody's got one why you should use their oil.

I can assure you being a Toyota owner has nothing to do with my skepticism. I am and engineer and while watching the video I see claims of "Reduced overall friction the engine produces", "Better overall fuel economy", and my favorite "Unlock and unleash the horsepower in this engine" with no data to back up these bold claims. In my day job I see salesmen make pitches like this all the time regarding their products. Usually, these claims are doctored claims made to look great on paper, but if you actually follow the tests, they did the claims are not demonstrable in real world applications.

I am an engineer. I love to learn new things but I also need data and not just claims. As others have asked, please make a follow-up video demonstrating (with measurements) the claims made above. If they are true claims it should not be very difficult to create a video demonstrating the value of this product.

Again, this is a very bold claim without anything in the posted video to back it up. I used to be a service writer and the one thing that I can assure you is we never saw a single vehicle that had a problem caused by the owner following the bare minimum manufacturer defined maintenance using the lowest grade parts that meet the certifications.

This claim is the most intriguing (to me) in this thread. I am really interested in learning about how the certifications are a joke. Please do a video on this. I really would like to learn why the certification process cannot be trusted, and since certifications cannot be trusted, how to identify good products from bad products.

I have never seen an engine fail unless it had no oil. Not a lawn mower, car or truck. Ever!

I'm just glad I bought a few cases of this stuff back in the 80's. My engines will last forever. YMMV! :)

You been able to find regular Mobile 1 synthetic 0W-20 anywhere? All I can find is the “fuel economy” or “suv & truck” etc. types. Can’t find plain old synthetic mobile 1 anywhere in 0W-20. Even Mobile 1’s website says “out of stock”
