I was always happy with full synthetic Super Tech oil & gear oil in my vehicles.

I refuse to buy into any of this purely because the space before the full stop is annoying the absolute shit out of me.

I’ve never seen or heard of a “failure” because of it. Unless you leave it in there for 50k like that fj.

I'm familiar with LiquiMoly & have actually used it in my Taco a time or two. My dad worked as a VW/Volvo mechanic, so his shop had it stocked & I would use it when I done any oil changes at his shop.

It's just a bit on the expensive side.

I do know LiquiMoly is a good product & wouldn't hesitate using it again.

I’m with you. I wouldn’t believe it would even happen with 50,000 miles of normal driving.

Their bar oil, and 2 stroke outboard motor oil works well in my chainsaw and outboard boat engine. As far as their synthetic automotive motor oils, i guess their ok as long as their changed early enough.

Hi Shawn, we appreciate that you're reaching out more to Tacomaworld! Looking forward to more Tacoma updates!

What's the deal behind that dip stick? It looks like sugar in the tank or something? I can't believe that's 5K oil changes with full synthetic...

Been using Supertech for ~ 30 years in everything from 45hp diesel tractors to my Subaru's and lawnmowers with no failures to date. Heck, if I counted correctly, there are 32 happy cylinders in my garage !

If LiquiMoly was legit, it would already be in a major brands oil. I trust chemical engineers from legit corps over some snake oil any day of the week.

What a bunch of complete BS. Full of misleading info and what seems like intentionally misleading language from op.

This thread is just an infomercial like the ones you see at 3am on cable. At least mark it as an ad.

Honestly though, seems there's already a better sales pitch made for a completely different brand without intending it within the first few sentences. Imagine making the same 300k miles but more expensive...

Let me get this straight, you used other oils and didn't have a problem, but you think we should all switch to this snake oil because you put together a pretty basic video of you doing an oil change?:confused::confused:

Even your title doesn't support your position. You ask if anyone has had an oil related failure and follow that with a statement that you haven't seen one either, but you are using this forum to run an ad? I don't get it. Not to mention your writing is awful. I respect your attempt to get a business off the ground, but my goodness you are not going to be successful the direction you are going. I haven't looked into your product, but it screams of multi-level marketing. Have you looked into Amway? If you are going the Multi-level marketing rout in the business world, you should go with the best. They have a great program and people do make a lot of money with their program.

WHAT?? I am not mechanic, but I have been doing my own oil changes on cars for over ~20years and have NEVER seen anything like this. This includes beaters where I went way over and past due and still seen nothing like this My wife goes over on hers to often and have NEVER seen anything close to this. Sorry man, can't believe you anymore.

    Just some stuff...
The older I get the more I want to stay with what works. That being said those pictures really don't make much sense. To say somebody changed their synthetic every five years and yet still wound up that mess just seems a bit crazy.

I've seen sludge like that ONCE. It was an 89 Ford Tempo that suffered complete engine failure at 50k miles. It had NEVER had an oil change. The owner claimed to not know cars needed the oil changed. Her ex-husband (an actual mechanic) did all maintenance on her previous vehicles, and she bought it right after her divorce. That genius was my mother.

    Yeah.
I don't blame the OP for trying to promote his business and what is likely a good product, although the sludge pics do need a more complete explanation. Lots of people buy into the Royal Purple/Amsoil/Whatever boutique oils and feel better for doing so, and will argue with you why they are better. Lots of people also stick to the old 3K mile change intervals. Others see both of those things as a waste. You do you. Under normal usage conditions and proper change intervals, the data shows that it doesn't really matter what bottle of oil you pick off the Walmart shelf. Even Blackstone says this. Crap, sucked in to another stupid oil thread.
