I picked up a barely used set of BP-51 coilovers and while I had was able to install them (easy 1 beer job) I would like to know what the official instructions are from ARB.

Just to make sure I did everything 100%.

Anyone have a link or picture?

    Thanks!

Cant imagine it will be different from any other coil overs. One bolt nut on the bottom. 3 nuts on top. Then spin the spinny thing if you want to go higher or lower.

Your install does look interesting. Where did you mount your reservoir? Looks like it is going in your engine bay. Usually we see it on the outside.

Yea, iv installed several coilover sets before but what's making me second guess myself is the lower rear shock mounting brackets.
I had to drill an extra hole to keep them from rotating. Seems a little odd.

The reservoir mount comes up off the sway bar bracket. I just wanted to keep my factory splash guard and to do so the reservoir had to go behind it.

So in the rear, according to the picture, you actually have the Bilstein 5160 shock. Not the BP51.

Not really undersatanding what you are meaning by the lower rear shock mounting bracket.......but as far as the rear shocks go, (i have the same pair) there is that stud that sticks out on top on the shock that you put thru the frame and tighten it.
Then there is the hole on the bottom of the shock that goes into the "pocket" where the stock shock was. no drilling or bending required so far. should fit same as the stock suspension.
Then there is the reservoir. That comes with a bracket that goes around the reservoir itself, and then there is a metal square with 2 holes. There is about an 1.5" rectangle hole in your frame next to the rear shock location.
You would put the reservoir on one side and the metal square on the other side. Then put the bolts thru.

go to about 11min into this video and he explains it

    hope this helps.

    @pahaf
I uploaded the wrong picture HA!
I had the bilstein 5160s on there before I installed the BP-51s

The bp-51s have a bracket that extends the factory shock mount on the axle.

This isn't mine but best pic I could find on TW. you can just see the bracket under the shock end.Screenshot_20220218-212653.jpg

Lol. Sorry. I guess we were both confused. Buy great that someone else happened to help out.

I’m guessing you had the 6112/5160 before these? How is the ride quality with the new set up? They look beefy.

Just finished an entire day of wheeling in the mojave desert. A trail iv done with the bilstein 6112/5160 set up as well.

Fast, small holes/whoops on desert road:
Kinda of a tie here. The bilstein has a longer stroke and therefore a little more travel than the BP-51. seems negligible on paper but at speed the bilstein was generally smoother.

The BP51 didn't soak up the holes as well but overall I felt I had more vehicle control. Felt more stable.

When the square edge bumps start the BP51 is much better. The bilstein is harsher and in less control.

BP51 rides smoother on the street, especially with pot holes. The digressive valving on the bilstein wasn't great on the choppy/bumpy road.

Give us an update on the system if you start playing with the comp/rebound settings. Installing this system today and would like some user experiences.

    Too few to list.
Sorry for bumping an old thread but I’m assuming you figured out how to install the rear bottom bracket? Would like to see photos of how it fits on there. Thanks.
