Anyone have this grille mod? (Satoshi without cutting cross members)

    Is that the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle mobile? Pretty neat set up.

    Cool truck, but the grill seems like a waste of time and effort. The reason for Satoshi is to get rid of the stock grill look. In my opinion (that's all it is), adding mesh behind the stock grill doesn't change the look enough. Most people wouldn't notice.

    Now, if you're going to put a light in there (to illuminate the grill, not like a PIAA or something) it would be different - people would be able to see the mod. That's not appealing to me. I think some people call it 'ricey'.

    Are you thinking about doing this mod?

    I just don't see any advantage unless you plan to backlight the grill like they did on that one. Might keep a few more bugs out of the radiator I suppose.
