I'm at 90% at my house. Wish I dared drive the few hours north to be fully in the path but without a place to stay it seems risky. I hear that places to camp are going for insane $$$. Checked one of those glam camping places and it was $3500 for a couple nights, no thanks.

I dread driving to Colorado from Wyoming at anytime! I am a former Greenie so we are down there often.

It would be 20 miles of solid traffic, not worth the hassle!

Everyone please stay away from SC

I have things to do and don't wanna deal with the traffic

But really, in Columbia it's all hands on deck for emergency services and hotels are booked solid...luckily I know back roads and we have a spot out away from everything that's completely gated off where we should be in the 100% path

The company I work for has an office in Idaho Falls. They are going to be closed on Monday because the city expects half a million people in the immediate area for the eclipse. Everywhere in the path is going to be a nut house.

Here in OR we're expecting 2-400k depending on the source. OSU has rented out the available on campus dorms for the weekend and suggesting that the staff get rides to work because of the unavailability of parking on campus. There's a producer that is getting an estimated $3 mil for the week for just renting his land for a show and camping/rving. There's already gas stations running out of fuel. I also volunteer for the local SAR team and we're expecting the worst. USFS is also expecting wild land fires out the ying yang. Yea, shits going to be crazy.

We had spots backed up 30 miles with traffic this past Wednesday.. gas stations were running out of gas the same day in areas. It's already a madhouse here :bananadead:

We have a lot of people everywhere here.
People will just come out stair up with her weird glasses or beers look through their beers or they're weird glasses and say wow and then go back inside and it will be as if it's just an everyday occurrence.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I had to bring home a welding hood for my wife today so she and my son can look at it Monday.

No thankfully. West side of the cascades. I'm watching the east side closely as I'll be making way next week for hunting.
