It came with a pre cut piece of rubber tube to put over the screw as a spacer to keep that side of the mat straight. If the screw doesn’t fit i don’t know. Mine fit fine.

Did you screw into the plastic plug that came on the truck? Or did you pull that plug out? When I pull that plug out the screw just flops around in that hole. The other holes fit great because they are threaded. I am using the rubber spacer but that is way to fat to fit in the hole if you pull the plastic plug out.

Now that I’m looking at it. It seems your old mud flaps screws were bigger and made the hole too big. Mine had none from the factory so my screws went in tight because the inserts are brand new

The three holes on the left all go great. They are threaded and match the provided screws. The 4th hole by itself is the problem. There was only a plastic plug in that hole. It’s not threaded like the other three. Was yours threaded?

If I leave the plug in the long screw snugs into it. This is the back side view of the lone hole for the long screw. If I pull that plastic plug the hole is big.

Plastic plug found in each one of the holes where the long screw is supposed to go.

Edit: instructions mention figures 1-6. I only have images of figures 5 and 6. So I’m definitely missing some instructions. Maybe I’m missing the important parts ha Just seems weak to screw into those plast plugs.

Screw it into those. Or take them out and use bolts. Possibilities are endless.

Yeah, I screwed into them. Actually seem pretty solid as they act like an anchor you would use in drywall or wood. Screw spreads out the plastic fingers behind the mud flap the more you tighten.

Have all 4 on already once I went with that. Now I’m just trying to make them level. OCD here we go ha thanks for the help!’

Yeah I had my wife stand and look when I was aligning them. But still had to look for myself a dozen times to be sure. Lol

Haha yeah, I’ll put a few hundred miles on them and check again. If they have moved I’ll use some thread lock on them and align again ha. Like th look of them on my rig! Didn’t take the greatest pic. 579E0886-0FF6-4A11-A25C-8BB3616E5DAF.jpg

94E0C0D5-67C8-4F5C-B770-E3A8ECD61F74.jpg Installed mine but the spacers seemed to long or too short. The front were causing the flap to bend back wards where the hole is to mount third inner screw. As well the inner washers did not sit flush with flap. Did anyone’s else look like this on install. Would it mess flap up if it’s bent back where mounting hole is ?

I just picked up a set of Rekgen and took advantage of their cyber monday sale. I purchased the XL version and the installation was simple and straight forward. Plus they are adjustable to move inward or outward. My tires are too big so I do rub when I cut the wheel 85%. I cannot complain because they do a great job of keep all road salt and water from hitting my vehicle. Great product, durable material, affordable price.

Has anyone put these on a TRD Offroad? The reason Im asking is because I don' t know whether or not the Offroad has different fender flares than the Sport trim. Trying to decide between the 11" and 12" Rek Gen flaps.

So if I'm not mistaking, they stick out about an inch or so past the flare, right?

Yeah they do. They have slots where the screws go through that you can slide it in towards the frame our out to the flare but the slot is only like a inch or half inch or so. I went with the 12” for my offset and tires I’ll be running. It’s not aggressive by any means but I liken the look and want the added protection of the protruding flap.
