I do appreciate your completely uneducated and inexperienced opinion though.

    Looks great!

I'm typically not a fan of caps, but I like this one.

Did you go with the Aliexpress (or whatever) version or order from BYND4x4/TacomaBeast?

I ordered it well before the TacomaBeast “collab”. I had looked on AliExpress and etc but they were actually 200+ more through all the different storefronts.

Looking forward to the "How to Repair Failing Welds and Flaking Powder Coat?" thread.

Mud sling all ya want, but you guys are delusional if you think this isn't going to fall apart in a few years. As the saying goes, "A fool and his money soon separate."

And to the guy who posted the China special pop up camper, for the love of god think about why it's so cheap. Think! "Easily a 20k value"? Get real.
There's a common thread here and you guys are willfully missing it.

I didn’t say it was worth 20k I said the Made in U.S.A version are 20-25k, I posted the picture to show how the Chinese are pumping out all kinds of truck/camping stuff.

When it finally arrived it was damaged. I took pictures of the damage and directly send them with a respectful message only to be left on “seen” for a day. I only got a reply when I sent positive feedback that I was able to fix the damage and make it work on my truck. I must agree with the other guys in here that these are definitely designed and manufactured in China by a Chinese aluminum manufacturer. They sell their caps to multiple resellers who slap their name brand on the products. Considering all the packaging and instructions were in Chinese writing also the fact that there is a 8-10 week lead time on not only the main product (reasonable if made to order and built from 0) but also the accessories to the main product (“tactical rack”, “tactical bin”) is a tell that he is definitely taking orders in and then placing an order to Alibaba.com and having it shipped directly to the customer. After countless back and forth messages between myself and the owner of Bynd4x4 about lack of customer service, damaged product, and lack of follow through on their end of our “sponsorship” I told him I would bo longer be promoting his company and products seeing as I was doing it for free.

Same. Left a bitter taste with me too. He had feelers out for sponsors. I reached out if he wanted to work together. Asked him straight if he would like to team up, just left me hanging. A "no, thank you" would have been fine too. I moved on, got another cap although now his damn ads keep popping up on my feed.

Yeah and their “sponsorship” isn’t even a sponsorship it’s an ambassador program. Every cap sold with your discount code for $100 off get you $100. Not product or merch to further promote the company and product. He is 100% drop shipping Alibaba.com.

It's the same thing as all the cheapo roof top tent companies like Tuff Stuff, Smittybilt, Ironoman4x4, etc. You pay a fee and the Chinese factory will slap your logo on it, but at the end of the day they're all available on alibaba sans logos. I cannot understand why some people in this thread are being so willfully ignorant, let alone spending money on this cap. It's not a "deal", it's a subpar product charging a premium price. It's the equivalent as paying top dollar for a Wal-Mart LED bar. It's going to fail, have QC issues, etc, and you will be disappointed.

Hell, just look at the pictures above. The cap's doors don't shut/line up properly and it doesn't fit the bed properly. Is that really something you want to drop 3k on? Just save a couple hundred bucks more and get a real smart cap or alu cab canopy.

Here's your "tactical" cap after a few miles:

Absolutely terrible and exactly why I’m here to tell everyone to go with a different company!

They look very similar but it’s not the same one. Though I would have bought that too had I seen it when I looked for 3 weeks prior to buying
