Anyone here used high-temp gasket maker instead of OEM specified pre-made gasket in a critical area?

    Thinking of replacing valve cover gasket with with high temp gasket maker material.

    I wouldn't recommend it, it likely won't seal properly and you can't use gasket maker on the spark plug tube seals. Get a Fel-Pro set or OEM, valve cover gaskets are relatively inexpensive.

    No way. It would take a fuck ton and would be awful to clean if it leaks.

    Toyotas aren't chevy small blocks we can't do stuff like that.
