Never hit a bale of hay, but a turkey flew up from the side of the road and hit my passenger side A pillar putting a sizeable dent in it. :annoyed:

    What lights? ;)

Naw, even brights would’ve been sketchy, it was wrapped in black plastic and matched the road pretty well, plus hard to see in the rain.

That probably gutted and tenderized the turkey pretty well, did you cook it?

    It’s not a skid plate, it’s a pie tin.

Only thing I’ve hit in my truck was a pigeon that swooped down and hit my windshield. I was going about 40mph but it still managed to keep flying. Left a giant smudge mark.

I was doing 65mph and never even slowed down. After hitting it I did see it bouncing down the road from my passenger mirror. Just glad it didn't hit the windshield or my wife not have faired much better than the turkey.:(

Deer, dog, cow, hay bale..whatever is in road, hitting it equals comp claim. Swerving to miss it and wrecking equals at fault accident claim.

Hay bale , no. King sized mattress yes. On a bike I had a canoe come off which really upset me. it was tied on with baling twine . Shortly after that this bed mattress came off another mini van, and as the guy was pulling over I ran it over on purpose with a K15 full sized chevy 4x4 . Oh boy was that guy mad, He flipped me the royal bird LOL . Lesson here is lash your loads good .

Wow, that worked out great. Thanks so much for the offer!

Going to do a little research on an upgrade, but if I decide not to, I’ll definitely PM you!

This is exactly why I hit it. I saw it fast enough to swerve if I chose to, but I definitely would’ve risked rolling over.

Ya'll give advice and what should have done, but any of ya'll have any respect or feelings for the hay bail? It could have a wife or kids home left alone now...
