I just walked in and told them what I wanted . I bought my own parts from Wheelers Off Road . Purchased my wheels and tires from Redlyne (good deal) . Got me in there about a month later and they had my truck 5 days but I dropped it off early . It was in the shop 2 days . They also do powder coating . I took it back so they could retorque everything after 800 miles no charge .I had 6112s and TC UCAs installed . 5125 bilsteins and 2"AAL in rear . Extended brake lines all around , new rims and tires and alignment and some powder coating done for just over $2000 . No problems so far , this was in April .

 

Where do you plan on going? I want to hit the trails too. Trail for stock Tacomas...

 

Would like to go to the takeover at the end of the month with a friend, he has a 05 dakota

 

Cool. I want to go but my Taco is stock and don't want to break anything. Do they have a trail where a stock Taco can navigate thru?

 

Green trail should be fine. Google images show stock Xterras and VW Touareg are able to do it.

 

I took my truck there for the first time stock. They have plenty of trails for stock vehicles.

 

Hey all, gonna be racin at the sand drags next sat near rome, almost smack dab in center of the state. Should be a good time, took first in mini and second in stock (fullsize chevys mostly) if anybody is interested ill post details

I had to Google guptils.

 

They do a car show once a month in the summer and have pretty good ice cream.
Guptils arena or Guptils coney express.

I haven't looked through all of this thread yet so maybe I'll find something after I post this but in the meantime...

Just curious if anyone knows of some "beginner" off road areas near Ithaca. I took a quick trip over to Connecticut Hill State Game Management Area and found some nice dirt roads to play on. First time since I bought the truck that I engaged 4wd, although to be honest, 2wd probably would have been fine. Problem was I kept losing service and the Tacoma's maps weren't that detailed. Got turned around a few times.

Just looking for some safe areas to play with my TRDOR without having to travel hundreds of miles.
