Wayne Co... Right in between Roch. & Syr. I actually noticed while driving on Rt. 104 daily, the majority of Tacoma’s I come across are not modded at all! Bizarre…

I'm for a meet! Get the Taco back Friday... Hopefully the Body Shop did a great job! Then off to get the lift on if the shop can fit me in...

Anyone in the Troy, NY area? I've been looking for places to off road with my stock tacoma and a buddy in a wrangler. lmk

I've found one place so far:

Earlier today I went to Glass Lake & Cherry Plain State Park. Most of the trails are packed gravel with some mixed in trees/branches and rocks. Category 1-2 ---- aka: a toyota highlander could do them. A 2WD vehicle might get stuck in some parts especially during a rain-storm. But it was still pretty fun & there were a lot of trail miles. We went from 11:30am to 4:30pm and were driving the whole time except for 2 pretty stupid hours.

So about 1/2 way through I decided I was tried of plowing through gravel roads at 30mph with the occasional rock hill. So we took an off trail under some HUGE power lines. It was rocky and fun (category 3-4) until we got 1/2way down and the trail changed into pure rock crawler stuff. It didn't help that I was running 35psi. My head was like 1ft away from a rock on the driver's side at one point. No idea how I didn't tip. Got some good footage & pictures until we hit the bottom of the hill.... There was a 4ft stream moving really fast. Didn't want to risk it especially without a tow rope (stupid). Ended up having to carve through some trees and cross the creek up a 9ft bank in 4Lo where it was only 2ft deep. The jeep got stuck for 5 minutes or so.

Overall - hardest off-roading I've ever done. Ended up being way over both of our heads on stock vehicles. There were some people with ATV's there that couldn't do the downhill rocks. The rock part took a lot of planning, but at least we got down. There was no way to go back up that once we started. The ATV people couldn't believe the 03 tacoma was stock. I'm really impressed with the truck. Ofc you have to know how to drive it. You can't just run the tires in the groves and smack the skid plate all day.

In bethlehem. Some trails in Albany County (not as rough as the ones you described) but dirt, mud, shale, ditches. Look for unimproved roads(seasona-use are good). Look near Lawsons Lake, dunbar hollow rd. Or out by renssselaerville, partridge run rd (but had some wash out from rain).

I see like 10+ Tacoma's in Troy, NY almost every day. Lots of 05+. It's a big difference in #'s compared to southeast PA.

Where are all you guys hiding? Anyone know other places to ask around? I'm trying to get some people together to help with some cheap mods: (spot lights, fog lights, double turn signals, ABS switch, etc). It's been foggy up here lately. I hate not having yellow fog lights.

You are close enough to Newburgh where I can hook you up with some wiring of lights and if you knew exactly what you wanted I could get them at a decent price....
