Not this weekend but the following I should be installing my new transfer case. Once that's in I'm game for anything, I would love to go back to Rausch

 

I dont have my lift yet so I would have to run the green trails there, I know they have primitive camping as well

No problem, tires are more important than anything. And yes, you can camp in the parking lot there which could be fun. If there's still a burn ban then we found a campsite pretty close that was cheap and very nice (good for the SO )

 

Yeah man. Got me a tractor now. Been getting a lot of shit done around the house. Wish I had some land to make some trails on.

anyone want to camp and have a gtg the weekend of june 21-22? I was thinking about going to rausch but thought maybe do it later around end of august. I get together camping trip would be cool though, let me know who can do it that weekend.

 

Where you looking at going? I may be into it depending on the distance.

 

I'm right outside Albany, about 10mi NW out. I'd be down for a camping trip, provided it's more than 2 hours away. I've been tight on money lately and can't sacrifice too much gas :/

 

Anyone ever run the Tomantown Trail ? It's up above Bleeker,near Benson and goes over to Mayfield. We had a camp up there,years back, and ran it a few times in early 90 Toyota's we had. I believe there may be a Jeep club out of the Gloversville area that runs it now pretty often. A lot of rock climbing,and narrow.

 

Mayfield and Gloversville is right around my area I'd be more than willing to meet up around there! And would take the trails depending on what kind of risk I'd take in hurting my new baby haha

 

I was thinking something centrally located for those who want to go, im feeling the money squeeze as well right now. Im in ithaca so albany is about 2 hours away I believe. I guess we need to see who really is down and locate somewhere reasonable for everyone. Im up for suggestions on camp sites and areas.

 

I'll have my transfer case in this weekend and won't be tearing the truck apart (planned) for another few weeks for a spring swap. Depending on what sort of wheeling it is I'm in, don't really want to drive a few hours for fire roads

 

There's a camping spot just a few miles north of Cooperstown called Glimmerglass State Park. Right on the lake there. Not sure if there are any trails around, though.
