Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
I agree and disagree with him. We have sheriffs and state troopers riding. Not sure if federal funded or not, but definitely intra state agencies. We live in NY. Everything is a waste of money. They try to steal our trail fund every year, and when they can't, they post speed limits and issue tickets.

I know that. Instituted because they constantly try to rape the trail fund, and can't. So they make up a ridiculous speed limit, write tickets and collect more "taxes" from us.

I mock the system yes. I also know they are constantly trying to steal from the trail fund, year after year. I do believe a speed limit needs to be in place, but I also believe there should be more enforcement of drunk driving, and aggressive driving. More people are killed by that each year, than going over 55. This state comes up with laws to protect us from ourselves, mostly due to lawyers.

The registrations and portions of the fines go to the trail fund. Speed limits are important but SWI enforcement is something that we concentrate on the most. I can't spreak for those agencies.
Year after year speed area speed limits are also updated due to (land owner complaints, accidents, changing conditions)
Police agencies do NOT receive any money from enforcement efforts (citations issued/arrests made). The enforcement comes from the dedicated budget unique to each agency.
And as far as tax dollars go, every single officer pays those taxes as well...

Anyway, this is no place for that talk, you can try the LEO thread or send me a PM if you have questions. We're back on topic!

Not really... that was the other side of town. My brother had like 8 feet solid, we had 2 inches. he is 20 minutes down a straight road from me. I want a foot - is to play in... maybe 2 - 3.

NY should be declared a disaster area just for its communist government!!!!! So many taxes, fees, laws, and regulations, (now the highest taxes in the country)... yet just like the declining roads and infrastructure, the rights of the TAXPAYERS are declining as well!

I was out there for that and it was crazy how close the line was and how little snow was in one area and so much in the other!!

Agreed^^ NY is insane and if I could move (convince my wife) I'd be gone yeaterday!! It would be hard to leave family but I wouldn't look back.

We spend a lot of time south of you, between Adams and Barnes Corners. Are you looking for some nice places to ride a sled, or to trail ride with the Tacoma ? We should be able to point you in the right direction.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I pity those without good tires. My BFG Commerical T/A traction tires seem to be eating it up, so far.

We hit a friends camp road up towards Tug Hill yesterday, to check on it. We had about a mile of un-plowed seasonal road , and a couple hundred yards of driveway with a foot or better fresh snow on top of a base. The 235-85-16 Dura tracs did fine, and I don't believe we even spun a tire. There are a lot of places to wheel up around where you are, just have to wait till it thaws out a little in the spring.......around June..when most of the snow is gone.

Drove completly around the city last night after the big game. I went from Cheektowaga (west seneca) to North Buffalo, then headed home to East Amherst. While everyone else was in single file on what little black top was showing, I just rolled along at 45 - 50 in the left hand lane with my Tread Wright Warden AT's. Everyone else was doing 30 - 40 on the highway. It kills me when they slow down for upward ramps! It's all about controlled momentum! We got a foot overnight in East Amherst. Had a ball on the way to work. I like driving through the untouched snow. I detoured through a few parking lots. This is the first real fun I've had in the snow!
