Climb to Glory! Just left 1BCT in July and, I know a few guys would go north of lake placid to get offroad or go into the training area. Nothing specific or wide open like out west. Good luck and I hope winter treated your truck kindly!

 

I know winter was fairly good to my truck. As for the wheeling I'm looking at tug hill area and whispering pines. It sucks that a lot of states have multiple areas to ride and we have basically nothing.

 

To The Top! I've hit up the training areas yet but I plan to check them out soon. I'll also have to keep the area north of Lake Placid in mind. It seems like I'm always in that are. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, when I first found out that I would be stationed in this area I was excited. I figured we would have access to a lot of trails. When are you going to Tug Hill or Whispering Pines?

 

We have a few going to tug hill in april. I would like to check out whispering pines after the snow is all gone. Seems like all the videos of whispering pines are of jeeps.

Anyone have a suggestion for dealerships in the NYC area with good service departments? I need someone to look at my front diff and transmission before a big road trip in a couple of months, and while I normally do most of the work myself, I need to go to Toyota for this one since it should be covered under the powertrain warranty. I have been going out to Halterman's in PA (where I got the truck) and they're fine to work with, but driving 100 miles each way is a pain.

 

Love to help but I'm too far north and don't know the city at all. Good luck though

Hey folks. I'm from New City, Rockland County, NY.
I've already met @Manual man74 from Goshen. "Stole" his pristine OEM OR wheels from him last week.
Also met @HolyHandGrenade . He's from Mahwah, NJ... but that's close enough to call him a NY peep. "Stole" a sweet Bestop topper from him a month ago.
I need to put my 11 year truck through it's paces, since i've been modding it like crazy the past four months.
Manual man and HolyHandgrenade might do Rausch this end of April. I'm jelly, coz I gotta be out of town. But I'm willing to be part of other possible upcoming meetups.

I've also been modding like crazy. Almost ready to hit some trails. Hopefully going to Rausch at the end of the month. Might not make it due to waiting on parts though.

I am looking to get out though if there are any meets coming up
