Halls service center in Halls crossroads

    or

    Affordable Care Care in Powell

    I recommend both. Great people.
The guy in Powell is usually a bit cheaper.

But the Halls server center has multiple technicians and guys that specialize in certain areas.
    Brakes, suspension, engine, ect.

Awesome thank you. I'm still researching if I want to buy a new drum and pad kit. Powerstop or TRQ. Any suggestions?

I bought the Powerstop kit for my truck.
    Pads/Rotors - Shoes/Drums

I haven’t put them on yet.
I let winter creep up on me, and it too cold now.

So I can’t give a review on them yet.

That's a set I've been looking at. The TRQ kit has no hardware. You doing it yourself? I watched some videos and it's not too difficult. I was going to call both places and get prices. In case I don't do it myself.

If you're somewhat handy with a wrench you should be able to do it yourself, it's not that hard to replace brake shoes. Just watch some videos, and only do 1 side at a time so that you can reference the opposite side. Maybe take pics before you disassemble as well. There are a lot of springs and you have to be careful to not lose them or install them incorrectly.

Thanks for the great advice. I suppose since I should probably just replace the drums and hardware since the Powerstop kits has everything. I'm at 148k miles. I've cleaned them before and the hardware appears to be in good condition. I did replace the fronts with the powerstop kit w/trd pads and it definitely helps stop a heavier than stock truck. Think the kit it $224

    Just some stuff...
I'm running powerstop rotors and pads up front. Personally I think they're great. Always had problems with warped or glazed rotors before. Used to shake the hell out of my truck. Since switching it's been smooth sailing.

If nothing else. I’d recommend getting the horseshoe clips for the rear shoes.
I always mangle the hell out of them or loose one. It is easier to get new one.

Even if you don’t do it. You mechanic will thank you.
