So i have a pretty neat scanguage with the rearview mirror mount. It's mounted and all that but i am wondering if anyone has done this yet? Any pointers for running the wiring under the A-pillar and dash? Thanks, this thing is really cool!!
Edit: i meant specifically on the 3rd gen, 2016 dash and a-pillars.

On my 15 I ran the wire up the left pillar. and under the headliner. Was a clean install. also ran the Garmin Power up the opposite pillar. (I used it mostly for the trip features and Water temp.) I have an ELM in the truck and Torque OBD Pro should I need to monitor engine functions. Also have a portable code reader.

On my 16 I don't need the ScanGuage II, There is enough information available. So I moved the ScanGauge to the MX5.

I mounted mine in the left corner of the windshield (leading edge of the headliner) using two measuring tape belt clips and two screws. The screws were in my case when I sent it in for an update and they were still there when I got it back. This location places it in ideal view of the driver, while not interfering with your field of vision. I trucked the cable under the headliner and behind the top of the alpha pillar covering. I then tucked it behind the rear vertical edge of the alpha pillar covering, between it and the weatherstripping. If you pull the "airbag" plate out (it is hinged on the rear edge - use a small screwdriver or a door panel tool to pry up the front edge), you will find a 10MM bolt that when removed exposes the air bag and other wiring. I chose to run my cable on the back, keeping clear of all other wiring and the airbag. Excess cable can be stored behind the drivers side kick plate. You can find inexpensive small (6 feet) measuring tapes at Tractor Supply for under $5.00. The clips make removal/installation very easy.
