Anyone install Supercharger recently?

    I got told the same thing, but I don't believe this is correct. From my understanding, the TRD flash is flashed the same as any common ECU update. If the dealership is performing any ECU updates at all then they have access to the TRD flash. The calibration ID for the TRD flash is accessible to all dealers the same as a common ECU update. Two dealers who told me this had never performed a TRD flash but after giving them the calibration ID, they were able to locate it and provide the flash. I had mine done a few months ago.

    I thought it was harder for 2nd gen Tacomas to go back to stock because of the ECU re-flash they get when installing one, unless they go with a different setup like the UCON maybe.

    Or you could get the OVTune handheld and flash one of the N/A tunes to your existing ECU.

    From what I understand, the easiest way to "go back to stock" from a TRD-flashed ECU is to buy a non-TRD ECU from eBay or a junk yard.

    A few people who bought the Magnuson supercharger with a BullyDog tune experienced a number of issues that were directly related to the BullyDog tune. The ultimate solution was to start fresh by outsourcing a "new" ECU using the methods above.

    So none of you guys with superchargers had to upgrade any internals? Do you think a 4.0 engine can handle the supercharger for 100k+ miles on stock internals?

    My truck just hit 70k and I'm wondering if I can do this down the line. I fully expect to get at least 200k out of this engine, do you think a supercharger will hinder that at all?

    Yes. I’m even running a 2.6” pulley, headers, and modded exhaust. Hinder will be a function of your right foot.
