Anyone install the new Eibach 1.6" lift springs

Installed my Eibach 1.6's and 5100's this week too. Ride is great isn't it!?

 

Did you set your 5100's at 0 or .85'?

 

I set mine at .85. With the 1.5" AAL I put in the rear its close to dead nuts level.

 

What are the measurments on the fenders from the wheel centers?
I am interested in how much more the .85 setting raises it.

Set the Bilsteins at "0" and put in a 1/4" spacer on the driver side to combat Taco lean. Seems to have worked out well- leveled out the truck with just a slight rake. The ride is fabulous, firm but not harsh. Can't wait to get my rear Bilsteins installed!

 

Installed my Eibach and 5100's this past friday, I don't have the TSB in yet but hopefully this week. Set at 0.85" with driver side spacer, WOW what a difference. Ride is nice and solid. Don't have any pics yet but looks similar to Choptop's but my Taco is silver

Note I installed a 1/4" spacer on the to of the LF coilover for the lean before measuring.

Now for the question I am trying to decide which way to go. I have the 2" AAL leafs, if I install them the back will be too high again. Do I raise the fronts to the .85 setting?

How much more will the .85 setting raise it on the 1.6 Eibachs?
I need to decide soon so I can get my alignment done.
So you guys that did the 1.6s at .85 what was the total lift on the front?

 

The front of mine is sitting at 39" (measured from the ground through the center line of the wheel to the bottom of the fender). I have the same Eibach 1.6 lift springs with Bilstein 5100's set at .85. Hope this helps!

 

jester can you get some pics up when done. i plan on going on the .85 setting as well and add an aal to the rear. just wanted to see how it looks

 

What size tires are those?
They may be adding a bit to the heigth.

I just looked at your pictures and they show 275/55/20
Acording to the handy dandy tire calculator that is1.35" taller in dia. Divided by 2 is .675" higher.
2.325" more with just the .85 setting.

Seems a bit more than I expected out of the .85 setting, but the springs are a higher rate so that may be the diff.
If you can measure from the center line of the wheel that would make sure for me.
If my math is screwed up be kind enough to point it out please.

 

Yeah no prob. I'll measure it again tomorrow at work, my driveway is an incline so it won't be as accurate tonight.

 

TSB goes in on Wednesday, then I will snap some pics.
took measurements this morning. rollin' on 265/70/16

Ground to fender and center of wheel to fender:
LF: 36.5, 22.5
RF: 36.5, 22.5
LR: 36.5, 22
RR: 36.5, 22
seems to be sitting pretty level from the ground up, but I know thats not a true measurement.
I will remeasure the fronts and rear on Wed after all is done. I also installed the 1/4 spacer on the drivers side.

I have already intalled my rear 5100s (no TSB yet) and plan to install the front 5100s set at 0" with the Eibach either today or tomorrow and will post pics.

BTW, I painted the coils red so it will look a bit different...!!

 

I bought options 4 & 5 from this group buy and just had them installed. Everything is great except for my alignment. The shop that did it sucked, so now I am going to get the lifetime one from Firestone.

Front 5100s set to .85 w/ Eibach Springs 1.6 inch = 2.45 inches
- I haven't measured yet, but it looks really nice, not too much empty space from the top of the tire to the top of the fender well.
- some agressive trimming, but you can't notice unless you're looking for it.
- the ride is firm but not jarringly firm.
- in need to get a good alignment from a shop that knows how to adjust my LR UCAs

Rear has 5100s and 2 inch AAL
- sits about a half an inch or so higher than the front.

No pics yet, too busy.

 

UPDATE:
Measured after the TBS and they are:
Right Rear: Ground 37.5 center 23.5
Left Rear: 37 22.75
need to find out why they are not level. Seems the right side got 1.5" but the left only 0.75" of lift.

 

I installed my front 5100s and the Eibachs yesterday and will update with pics and measurements soon... I can already tell the ride is much smoother!

 

I must have gotten a bit more lift than most, ~2.0", at the "0" setting. Front measurements for me are nearly 37" from ground to wheel well lip and near 23" from wheel center to wheel well lip. Since my truck is a pre-runner it does have a bit less weight over the front end compared to a 4x4- that could account for the "diff" (pun intended)

 

Well I insalled the 2" AAL from Toytec today.
So tomorrow I will raise the the 5100s to .85 with the 1.6" Eibach springs.
My plan to not raise it is not working out too great.

Next thing you know I will be putting a set of big ole tires on the thing

Rear went up 2 3/4" to 25" C/L wheel and 39" off the ground but I have not driven it yet to do some settling in. I had some used 1 1/2" AAL's but just looking at the 3 leaf set up the top springs were allmost flat on the overload. I figured they will sack out a bit more with use.
All new measurements tomorrow and pics if I get done quickly.
My rear sway bar will be getting relocated to match the lift.
