This looks like such a great idea I want to do try it with my '04. Anybody know a bracket for the first generation?
    Thanks,
    Bill

A lot of the guys we work with use the Rigid U-Bracket to mount it to the bumper.

Dimensions need to be close to the 30" sr

If the dimensions are the same, then yes.

do you need to remove front bumper when doing this or can it remain on? I just dont have anywhere to put bumper if i was to take it off... I live in a condo and have a carport. I wish i was still in military and had access to a hydraulic lift and every tool imaginable at my disposal... :(

You do not have to remove the front bumper to do this. You do need to remove the main grill (with the Toyota emblem) to give yourself access and room to work.

You should also remove the lover valance/grill that the light will mount in. It can be separated from the main bumper by removing a bunch of (blue?) clips and unlatching a few tabs I think. It is way easier to work with that out of the way and you will need to trim it to mount your light anyway.

    Hope that helps.

Oh, and since I got a new plate bumper my 30" light bar and mounting brackets are available for anyone thinking of doing this mod. I could also throw in the trimmed out lower valance so you can keep your stock one stored away.

    PM me if interested.

you need to cut every individual plastic support but i did not take the whole bumper, grille, or even the whole valence out. i just cut the plastic support things right where they meet the edge and i sanded them down and you can't tell they were ever there. any questions on this install just let me know as i did it myself in about an hour- hour and a half with a double row and it throws light really well.
