Ok let's set a date people! McLean opens on may 1st. I'm going to be honest may long is a bad time to go. There are a lot of idiots out there and it basically is not an option. Same goes with every offroad area at that time. Can anyone suggest a long weekend that we can have this happen?

    I'm thinking something like this

    Saturday-
-Meet up, get the group together.
-Hit a trail, be back at a decent hour and camp out that night.

    Sunday-
    -Wake up!
-Get our things together and set off for another great trail.
-Be tired from trail, chill out for a bit, and head home. Try to be off the trails by 6pm.

Then everyone has Monday to recuperate. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any.

My vaca starts the week before may long. Planned week of camping in eastern alberta. I can start my camping out in that direction.
    No issues here.
    No guarantees either.

Why dont we just say June 1 and 2?

Dont really need to have a long weekend? Any long weekend will def be way more people in the area.

Mclean would be good since there is lots of varying terrain and like Jamie mentioned there are some good areas to use for a large group out camping.

I too would appreciate the values of Tread Lightly being taken into account for the whole weekend.

Doing a DAY in Sylvan would be pretty sick to do just a random meet in july maybe. Not a pile of organization. Just a date and time then spam it to all yota lovers.

For now lets work on the camping and wheeling part of it.

I was thinking a long weekend for the guys with a long drive ahead if them. But if there aren't any big issues with it, I would be fine with a regular weekend.

For those of you who are curios about tread lightly, go here http://treadlightly.org/
This run will definitely support the treadlightly principles as Reeeno403 mentioned.

I say once we have a date confirmed, I'll make a new thread and get things rolling.

Someone needs to step up and take control of this, someone that knows the area and can lead a group, pick a date and give a trip outline, not everyone will be able to make it, that's a reality, this will never happen if we try to get a date to accomidate everyone
