Just ordered some modest audio upgrades for my ride including 5x7 for the rear and 5.25 for the front and an upgraded head unit. Total cost is about $250. I have some decent audio recording gear and can record some samples such as:

    - Stock head unit with Stock front speakers on
    - Stock head unit with Stock rear speakers on
    - Stock head unit with all stock speakers on

    - Stock head unit with Aftermarket front speakers on
    - Stock head unit with Aftermarket rear speakers on
    - Stock head unit with all Aftermarket speakers on

    - Aftermarket head unit with Aftermarket front speakers on
    - Aftermarket head unit with Aftermarket rear speakers on
    - Aftermarket head unit with all Aftermarket speakers on

The recording will not be 100% accurate since the audio recording gear and your playback devices will vary, but it should be enough to generate an idea on the differences between the setups. To keep things as realistic as possible, I will mount a stereo mic at ear-level between the front seats and record at a fixed volume.

It’ll take a little bit of work on my behalf to create the video but I’m willing to do it if there is enough people interested.

If you’re interested, you can help me out by recommending a song to use for the A/B testing!
