Progress on the UTB. Apologies in advance for the long post.
Printed a box with a perch for the RX and ESC.

new wheels with red, silver and black on the way.
For now the 5.5's off the AX10. I have some 5.0's that might be a better fit.
Although, These may become the tire. They just seem to fit so well and still have full turn. Plus the extra weight keeps it upright. There's a full wrap of tire weights on each one.

drooped. Had to cut one coil out of the springs to get this and heat up the end to restore the circle.

3s, 2200mah up front and kind of high. Seems ok for now, hasn't really exhibited any tippy signs. I think I may put a pair of 1300mah 3s down inside on either side of the motor/trans and run parallel to lower cog.
Remove the strap and the ESC/RX come off as one and give access to the spur cover.

    12oz of flex.

Light bar. Fucker gets hot. Running it off the program port on the ESC at 6v so I can unplug it.

    lights out in the room.
    Should be great for camping!

    Injora brushed motor arrived!

    Quite the upgrade from stock.

    20250120_083903.jpg

    20250120_083845.jpg

It's louder, but has noticeable torque when climbing stuff. I didn't have to bump it going over the "crossbar" on my kid's highchair.

So far she's got Injora Prosteer axles, Injora 50T brushed motor, and LGRP HD transmission.

Definitely don't need to do any more upgrades, it was just fine in stock form

You would be surprised at the amount of unnecessary flex from the stock plastic links. Nice aluminum or titanium links would make the suspension work better.

The meus links are nice enough but the samix were easier to install and the bends make the clearance really nice.

Ran the Mojave grom for a bit outside. Cant get more than 50%throttle on the ice. The servo got jammed with snow and I didn't last long with 5 degree temps. Worried that if it did hook up and hit something it would shatter with the cold brittle plastics. I wish arrma had a blx grom monster truck with a bit better clearance and taller tires

Even though I won't get my transmission until the end of the week, once my links come in I'll be assemblying everything.

Kind of tired of stuff sitting around in the box :goingcrazy:

    @Strictlytoyz

You buy fancy wheels for your rigs, are you also using loctite on your bolts for those wheels?

I had to for my Injora set, just don't know if I should for the LGRP Fifteen52's.

My wheels no, everything else thats metal yes. First time I'll be running beadlock rings though so we'll see if some hardware goes missing. All my other wheels have been fine

    Thanks!

Yeah made sense why my links don't arrive until tomorrow

    I semi-put together the axles.

Mainly just installing the upper rear link mount, and swapping the hexes.

Wheels look even better on the axles.

    20250120_192134.jpg

I'll finish up a few more things come tomorrow.

Glad I went with the raw metal too.

The black with chrome was a bit too "busy" so I wanted to take focus away from the axles, although the LGRP axles would've fit these wheels much better in terms of making it all match.

What color(s) did you decide on?

@Deathbysnusnu hasn't told us what he was gonna do for paint either.

Axles are still in China, says tracking. If they don't leave in the next 8 days, Chinese New Year starts and I'm screwed for a few weeks.
Motor/trans and ESC should be here tomorrow, delayed by the holiday.

I have some wheels from ali express for a couple of drift projects I am planning that have been in customs since the 16th. Most stuff is less than 48 hours. Not sure if the fires or the holiday or both or what but I had hoped they would send them a bit quicker and now they are hung up

Going with a dark base in hopes it darkens it a bit. I wanted ts-15 but nobody ships that color to Hawaii for some reason. If its too light Ill just get regular old spray paint from the hardware store
