    It's a good question.

You had me wondering and...with my C10 front links, it looks as if I could get away using a front Gladiator driveshaft.

    20250124_093904.jpg

Of course only after my motor is securely mounted to the transmission can I secure the transmission to the skid.

Then I can compress the suspension and see how short of a collapsed length I need for a driveshaft.

It'll suck if I can use the Gladiator driveshaft and wasted money on the C10 driveshaft set

    20250124_093950.jpg

Also reinstalled the servo horn. My ESC can only run as high as 6.5v for the servo but it's plenty fast as is.

If the shafts are too long an angle grinder and flap disc to make em a lil shorter would be quick n easy (or dremel).

I need these softer. The green set is softer but I have made too many returns to Amazon this month, including one today for another set of wheels, and don't want to get flagged...:anonymous:
Should I cut every other rib out of the center ring or the outer ring?

I was thinking of starting with just cutting through every other support on the outer ring, but leaving the support with the cut. And make further adjustments from there. Sidewall support is perfect, just needs a bit more tread squish. By the end of the weekend, it may be entirely removed like you suggested.

They are much heavier than before. Went from 304 grams to 371 grams. The wheels are legit. Adjustable backspacing too. :D

Removing the SR315 from the little enclosure made the footprint small enough to fit perfectly on the slider.

The hunt for 2.2 beadlocks that don't suck, or break the bank. Another long post.
These were sent back completely unopened. Just the feel and look in the hand screamed impact breakage.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DMRV4X14?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

These are the best beadlock design I have ever seen. Tires are decent too, a bit small. Foams are rock hard. I didn't care about the tires, but may end up installing them on the AX10 as they are super grippy.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSMMGBCG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

4 different offsets can be had, -5, -8, -15, -18. I settled for -8 as it's close to the stock offset.

    These things are beef.

Ended up with this for trim and it's about right. Next step would be to just remove the outer flat ring and leave the remaining support sections. For now I'll run with this. I just want that first 1/3 of the tire to flatten, and leave the core to keep the sidewall strength.

I drilled 4 holes and these vent just fine with the inserts.
These rings are close to 3/16" thick.

Did the pair of 3s packs and printed a battery hold down that works out well, and clips the balance leads in place.

Printed a much simpler box for the RX that is somewhat watertight for splashing and a quick submersion. With a fan graphic on it, could be the radiator.

Switching from -5 to -8 loses the cool black trim ring and places it on the back side.

The original setup weighed in at 304 grams and that was with a stack of lead weights wrapped around the plastic wheels, which can be seen in one of the pics above.
This tips at 371 grams, with no added weight.

I like that, have been looking for more of a vintage truck body.
    Is it a 3d print?

Yeah its a 3d print. Definitely needs cleaning up. If you wanna spend a little more, I'm highly debating picking up a WTmicro body (https://wtmicro.shop/) as they look dam good. Also, mazz will be releasing his slider skid mounts that work with those bodies as they have the magnet mounts integrated into the slider skid. They'll be released this upcoming restock
