Yeah I got to play with mine too (not connected to driveshafts) and liked how slow it can crawl. That Mini spins slow and has torque. Who knows I may just buy a Furitek transmission :spending:

I guess the plus side to having a faster spinning motor (Mini) is that I can still gear it to turn slower via transmission gears. That's the only thing the LGRP has going for it.

As long as they work, I'm ok with someone else's returns. I'm not 100% sure I got the right parts to work with this transmission. Furitec claims these will work independently with stock parts, so they should work together as well. I almost missed the spur gear, I ordered the mount last night and noticed the difference this morning.
Ironically the part number for that gear is FTK-FUK-2050.
Which is what I did to myself by not paying attention.

Dude I almost made a similar mistake last night.

In looking up the Furitek Micro, I kept getting one popping up for only $22 on several sites including Heli something.

Then Amain and another place have it at $35 and only after digging a bit farther, there was a small change in the part number itself. Pinion gear was the same and all, but it's the mounting face that's slightly different.

Seems really easy to order the incorrect shit.

So whoever asked me my build cost, it pretty much went from $660 to $700+ overnight

And a shout out to @Strictlytoyz for noticing it. Good eye. Thank you! I just assumed it sat that way as all the other Axial stuff is off set. I have other FCX models and they are so close in name, it was a pretty easy screw up.

Can't remember if you're running a mini komodo as well @Deathbysnusnu but one thing I just noticed after crawling over some cardboard boxes and what not to see how the suspension cycles is the motor and trans get up in temp rather quickly. Pretty hot to the touch. I'd keep an eye on that. Idk if it's just how outrunners operate? My cedar never got this hot

    Yep!

But yes in my experience I would totally expect the brushless motor to warm up a lot faster.

Since I can't do anything with my rc, figured I would work in the garage for a little bit.

Yeah the cedar is in the Ascent with an injora trans. Ran that thing for hours and it never got this hot. Kinda worried lol

Run it for like 15 seconds on max or 30 seconds at 50% throttle, then get a temperature on it.

Then I'll do the same for mine and post here after I'm done today.

    On the Mini that is.

@Kwikvette Temps seem fine with tires off the ground. Only seems to start getting hot during slow crawl combined with resistance against the tires.

This is after 15 seconds and full throttle. Seems good to me. Will just have to monitor. Not trying to light my money on fire :bananadead:

I didn't realize that had a temp monitor

I was going to use my infrared thermometer to check, but it'll be good to compare both figures

Yeah I was trying to think of a way to check temp, knowing I have a gun somewhere and then I remembered, wait, the app has a monitor :rofl:pretty convenient. It's under the telemetry tab

Carpet is super high resistance. What's your gearing corrected with the tire size jump?

Was he running it on carpet?

I thought he was running only the front end suspended in the air since he has no driveshaft for the rear.

But totally ageee if running on carpet + only running 2WD, that thing can warm up quick.

Front and rear hooked up on cardboard box obstacles. Running factory gears that come in the stellar trans.
