    Great point!

Palm Beach has a great rep so I went with Andy (owner) for batteries. He actually caters to the robot community but his batteries are gaining huge popularity in the crawler community.

Higher discharge rates and quality cells, and reliability are all things I read all too often about his stuff.

Wonder what else everyone here is running in their micro crawlers.

You have like an hour of run time on that thing, I assume? That sucks, seems a bit short to say the least. Any pics of the wear on the gears?

Just picked up my first rc last week. Enjoying it so far. I already added a bunch of weight, burned up the motor, and got the purple injora as a replacement. My son loves watching me drive it around while we do tummy time. IMG_8080.jpg

As soon as I saw it on the axial website I immediately hit buy without thinking twice. My old 4th gen 4Runner was the same color.

I need another scx though, I don’t wanna cut up this body

Haha probably. After I buy my wife the 4 door power wagon she wants I’ll start building something. It’s quite addicting.

Spent the last couple hours tearing everything apart checking everything. Everything looks okay. I didn't take any photos but after reassembly everything decided to play nice again. Put .04 shims front and rear:notsure: I put everything back together for final assembly. Hoping for the best. Gonna run it again for a little but and see what happens.

Dammit. As a 1:1 GX owner I should really just buck up and buy the SCX24 already. But I'm worried I'll be disappointed by the performance given I have an Ascent 18 and modified AX24. Maybe they'll go on sale... much more justifiable as a play thing at $99

You skipped buying the FCX18, might as well buy the GX470!

Totally like it way more than the FCX.

    Significantly smoother drivetrain.

The FCX was easier to get more flex and make into a capable rig, and looked good, but I hated the clunkiness of the transmission and portals.

The SCX is crazy smooth and although it's less capable, I use it as an indoor rig only to keep it pretty.

It's accidentally received several upgrades all because I fucked up a few orders for my comp build. Nice to buy parts for a popular platform.

Hmmmm good to know. Just in my fleet, the FCX24 is definitely a bit more "mechanical" than the AX24 but yeah, thinking about it.... I guess I do like the AX24 more even though the FCX is technically a better crawler with the 2-speed.

Why don't you like the portals?
