I've been scared to ask, but have wondered the same. My track dont have a class for them, (whatever that is). Yeah, they look cool and all, but are they, racers, or just scale bashers?

They just look cool. That's really about it.

Aside from maybe having some better moving parts they're really similar to a 4x4 Losi SC truck.

I wouldn't care to have some of those wheels and tires for my SC10

the big crawler websites are tcscrawlers.com and ckrccrawlers.com they usuallly have some good deals. You could also try stormerhobbies.com I ended up buying mine slightly used on rctech.net for 100 bucks.

I think they were meant to compete with other "scale" short course buggies. Losi SCB and Hpi Apache buggy. :notsure:

Of course, the main reason they exist is to make some nerds a fuck-ton of money. Which, they will.

I run for Team Assocated on the nitro side. Mainly 1/8th buggy, but run truggy at the bigger races. I live on the east coast! Racing the PNB in Atlanta Ga next month. On my schedule so far is a money race series near me,AMS, and the Nationals in PA. There are some regional races going on in my area that I will attend! Check out liverc.com on March 8th-11th. You can keep up with live racing and watch the action! If I can figure out how to post pics of my car I will:)

I follow all of the major races on LiveRC. I would love to run the PNB race.

Is this your truck? I saw it on LiveRC's AMS gallery

After a year and half I finally broke a part in my slash 4x4. Man I would best this truck up and nothing would break. I am very impressed with Traxxas they've done a nice sturdy job!

Oh and it was the front hub. It was because some jerk ran to me as hard as he could into my front tire.

You must not be bashing hard enough. I've had 2 Slashes and both were peices of shit. My current Slash started off strong for about a month, but then it went down hill from there. I litterally break something every other time I drive it. I spend more time waiting for parts than I do driving it (waiting for parts as we speak). I'm trying to get rid of my Slash and get a Blitz.

First one was. My current one is 2wd. I went with 2wd thinking it would be more durable since it's lighter with less componants to break.

Exactly why electric is the way to go now a days...

is the wire damaged at all?

You can alway get a cheap glow plug lighter that runs off of a D-cell battery, if its not working
