Got these gems out on what we call “the slab” here in the pnw. Part of the main section is still covered in driftwood and I wasn’t willing to traverse it for the back half. Even still I was quite impressed with both of them. The scx6 is so much less top heavy with the cage and the brazin hilow impressed me with how good it was even on brand new not scrubbed in tires.

Cool to see Injora producing more parts for more RC vehicles. Hoping they start offering things for my Element but I'm not holding my breath.

Haven't taken out the Grom in a minute.

Although I did the other day only to realize my steering was acting funny. Something about the stock servo saver/horn that leaves a lot to be desired.

Replaced it with a Hot Racing variant (a lot beefier)

    20250329_191102.jpg

And finally swapped out my worn tires. I would drift the hell out of it on the road and it really ate them up but it's fine cause I bought these when I bought the rig.

    20250329_191909.jpg

Should work well for the grass/dirt when I take the kiddo to the park.

Installed tinted windows. Doors are a bit complicated to fit, might get to those later, might just leave them "down".

Edit, also spent about a half hour with a blade and "siped" each large lug, really made a difference. These have become my favorite tire. The size and profile, grip, side hill ability, just works for me. Spent a couple hours on the course yesterday running every line I could find.

They so sticky, the gap closes right up, even after some rough spinning on a plywood incline in an attempt to open them up a bit.

Aaaand I'm glad I always check my rigs in short intervals

Been letting it cool down the last 5 minutes as it was as high as 159 degrees

    20250330_145409.jpg

I checked because after a few high speed passes, I didn't hear the fan running

    20250330_145446.jpg

She dead so, ordered an aftermarket one

Any recommendations on a 1/10th sized servo for a Slash 2wd VXL w/ TSM that isnt going to break the bank but is decently durable.

I have had the stock PLASTIC geared servo in my slash for YEARS, put all of ONE set of 4$ plastic gears in it during its time and honestly its been a surprisingly dang good servo.... but its getting worn out and having a hard time keeping center. I dont need crazy quick, crazy torquey etc. Just an inexpensive well regarded durable servo.

    For reference im working with:
    • 125 oz-in torque
    • Transit time 0.17 sec/60°

So as long as things are at or better than that im good. (Just setting the tone cus some yall here are bougie AF with your builds.... you know who you are lol)

Finally painted my Tacoma body! Took nearly 2 hours to cut all of the stickers and I still need to properly mount the front grill, install the door handles, and eventually get all of the light buckets installed. Used Tamiya Bright Gunmetal PS-63 and Tamiya Black PS-5 for the bottom layer.

Hopefully will have it mounted soon, but we just got another foot of snow so I wont be taking it out for a while yet.
