The blitz, wow awesome I love it... I have the sidewinder sct brushless engine in it and proline shocks handles awesome. One thing I noticed is that the body since its wide it acts like a parachute in the air its pretty funny. I guess I gotta drill more holes in the body

They're a hell of a lot faster too! I'd rather watch paint dry than play with a crawler! haha

Awesome man! That price was killer.

I wish it had been that low back when I was in a buying mood - I would have picked it up along with my SCX10.

Yeah, good luck with that! I've already got MIP driveshafts ready to install on it and I haven't powered it on yet.

I went with the Honcho, as it seemed like a better beginner's crawler, and it had more parts available for it at the time.

It's hard to say either are better IMO. The Honcho isn't made for speed, it's made for scalers and crawlers who like to go slower.

Keep in mind that a Honcho can be made into a more hardcore, less scale'ish rig pretty easily. Chop the body, raise the bumpers and put on larger wheels/tires and you're all set. That is likely the direction I will take mine.

Here is an example of one that was modified to go more "hardcore", less scale...

I think it looks badass with the 2.2s.

I have a slash 4x4 to go fast with, I just want a crawler to mess with and let the gf drive. After looking through tons of threads on rccrawler I am going with the honcho, I just love the scale look and with 2.2s it looks intense!

Anyone a member of rccrawler? tryng to figure out if the forsale section is worth the $20 to get access. Im to lazy to post on there

You have to pay to access the for sale section? That's lame...

rcuniverse and urc are also places to look. There's always ebay too...

Dont have to pay, you either pay $20 or be a member for 30 days and have 30 "useful" posts.

im on those forums aswell, rctech seems to have the best forsale section out of all rc forums. I just found a honcho on CL not to far from me, waiting to hear back now if he still has it or not.

I'm a member - I did a few searches and there are quite a few for sale, but most are upgraded and priced higher than you can get a brand new one for.

Another idea is to try and find the older style. I was at my LHS last week and they had two of them on the shelf. They were stickered at MSRP, but I know for a fact they would let one go for quite a bit less, especially as time goes on.

Yeah I was sure there are more modded forsale on there, if I bought one new I want a kit and no one seems to sell the kit anymore.

Most LHS in my area went out of business, only 1 within 80 miles and its not much of a shop and there only traxxas

I can check my LHS again and see if they have one - it was the kit version. They'd have to ship it to you, but I bet they could working something out.

I posted a couple of threads here and there.

An idea just blew into my funnel..

Get a honcho body and mod it to work on my Wraith. Comparison of my two. I think it could work.
