Did you balance charge it? Each cell should read 4.2 volts.

And when you don't plan on using your lipos for a while, make sure you storage charge them.

I couldn't care less, but, I've seen no price. It would help out those that may be interested.

From what I've heard that is the same thing as the xxx-sct. Just has a different body. Obviously it would be a tad lighter and not parachute like a big SC body would. :notsure:

I really wouldn't be apprehensive about going lipo. I figure, if you're going to go lipo at some point, why not sooner than later? You're kind of just wasting your money if you buy NiMH or the dreadful NiCd. You can get 2 lipo batts and a charger from hobbypartz.com for less than $100.

But, if you insist on staying away from lipo for a while just shop around on the interent. The more mAh the better! My buddy has a 5000 NiMH that he runs in a 2wd sc10 and he gets almost a half hour of run time out of it, running it pretty hard. Of course, the 4x4 is gonna pull a little harder on the battery.

Wonder long it will take these to sell out?

Looks like so far they're only released to their german warehouse. Hobbypartz.com should have them before too long, though.

So i was looking around that hobbypartz website and they have really good prices. im just not 100% sure im looking at the right things. For a battery im looking at either the GENS ACE 5500mah 2S1P 7.4V 25C Lipo battery pack or the GENS ACE 5300mah 2S1P 7.4V 30C LiPo RC Battery Pack. Where do i find the right connector for the traxxas? Once i find the right connector is there a special way to cut the wires and splice the connector on? Sorry for the noob questions but i havent really looked into other brand batteries because i wasnt sure of the process.

I have these products in the mail. They should be here in the next few days. A lot of other people have gens ace batteries on here.

    and this charger

I would have got the nicer 5000mah 40C batteries, but they were out of stock.

With the connectors, if you don't have any experience soldering things like that I would recommend taking them to your local hobby shop and having them do it. If you would prefer to do it yourself I'm sure there are videos on youtube showing how to change them out properly.

    Yeah.
That was the reason we specified full bodies -- an attempt to minimize the wheel-to-wheel cartwheel action. For those who thought maximimum speed on the straights was a good idea, it didn't keep them from launching their cars off the end of the straights at extremely high speed. Cornermarshalls had to be brave!

Those batteries look pretty good. Any reason not to go with the ones I posted? They seem like about the same battery but the ones I was looking at have more mah.
Now with that charger do I need to find a special connection for that two? Or do you just clip the banana clips on the traxxas connector?
