Anyone into R/C?

whats that for?

 

to cover the hole that is in the front of the slash 4x4 where the drive shaft goes. keeps rocks and what not out of there. there are other ways of doing it like a tube that runs the length of the chassis covering the drive shaft. just some added protection from crap getting bound up.

 

Well, why aren't you out there breaking down lithium ions, instead of posting here? I was gonna fly today, but it's windy as hell, and now I've gotta go to school. 49 yrs old, and still in school, that's some BS...

 

I still need connectors... Won't be mobile till tomorrow.

 

I think I found a way to fund my R/C hobby, I'm gonna start taking pictures at club races and sell them

I'm thinking about just getting a 4mm banana connector for my ESC instead of buying a bunch of EC3's or Deans... Bad idea? Banana connectors worth a shit?

 

(its what comes on gens ace batteries)

 

I'd go with Deans personally, as they provide the best connection and there is little amperage loss (I think its amps, not quite sure)

what about Traxxas connectors?

 

I'm trying to save money. Just buy one instead of four.

 

Then I'd vote for use whatca got, it can't hurt anything. Or what about an adapter if you already have connectors on your ESC?

 

It came with bare leads on it, already stripped and tinned. I'm thinking that they wouldn't ship lipo batteries with insufficient connectors on them ... would they?

After doing some research I hear that they come loose over time and cause some headache.. Think I'll just go with EC3

 

Traxxas > EC3

 

Powerpoles are another option, you don't even need to solder with those.
