I like boats, that one in the vid is an old 4 stoke made in the 80's ressurected and thrown in a new hull. It's one on my favorite boats that I have ever owned

I've been debating on getting back into racing or not. I used to race stock with a HPI Pro 4 a few years ago. i also have a B4 FT that I bash around with. Both are just sitting around collecting dust.

I've got a off-road track semi-near me (Hot Rod Hobbies) so I figured I'd try off road racing. Is there a 2wd Stock Buggy class anymore, or is it all Short Course and nitro?

I figure I need to recycle my old Ni-MHs and buy new ones or just upgrade to Lithium. With the Lithium upgrade I'll need to upgrade my charger.

My radio is a KO Propo on 75mhz. Does that freq even get used anymore or is it all 2.4ghz now?

I've got one of the original Novak Brushless systems in the B4. It was great for bashing but probably not race legal. Looking at the Novak Stock 17.5t system.

My big reason for leaving on-road racing was it became a chore to keep up with tuning motors, buying multiple sets of tires every weekend, and the bitchiness of the semi-pros at the track. Once I jumped from Rookie to Sportsman it became work, not a hobby. Has any of this gotten better or is it still a money pit to race? Maybe it was that just the On-Road divas at SoCal?

    Thanks,
    Jim
