epa, do you plan on running lipo batteries? you said you have a charger but if you haven't been in the hobby for a while you might want to check out lipo batteries. They're truly a miracle.

    Cross roads on my built.

Bought a hi-tech 400 oz servo and Castle bec.

Electronics where and what to use.

Do I use the Holmes Bxl esc (waterproof) with my 20t axial motor.

    Or

Use the axial wraith Esc on the 20t motor.

    Both with the BEC

Or pull my FXR and 45t motor and throw it in my build.
    ???????

Oh I bought paint today as well going to start that tomorrow and see how it goes

I have both a NiMH MRC charger but need to replace the buttons, I need to find someone locally who can solder the switches to the board, the charger cost me quite a bit (when new) so I don't want to simply throw it away since it works fine. I also have a simple Lipo Balance charger, but I would have to make sure the lipo battery pack I purchase have the same balance charger leads (I know there was a battery website which had the name of all the different connectors but can't remember, it was a long time ago)

I think if I buy it, I will buy a NiMh 4200 mah battery pack to start, and after getting up to date on whats new on Lipo packs, then get a new charger and 3 battery packs. (1 for practice, 1 for two qualifiers, 1 for main) and the NiMh as backup.

I will probably go to the hobby shop tomorrow, the owner is a nice guy and he helps me promote my forum, and I promote his Hobby Shop through it, and I'll have him check what the truck would cost here after S/H & tax as I prefer to buy it locally, I had purchased both my Jammin X1 and Hyper 9 from him, and both times the price was awesome. :D
